Flisvos — Restaurant in Municipality of Ierapetra

Today, visiting the Paralia Mirtos beach, we went to have breakfast at the Flisvos terrace. For customers of the Flisvos terrace, the umbrella and sunbeds are free. The menu is not very rich, but the prices are affordable. Although I ordered one and got something else (I asked for the cheese omelette, I got the ham omelette, or fried eggs were ordered and I got boiled eggs) it was OK all in all, maybe our English wasn't clear :) A number of parking spaces are available in the Mirtos village area, near the beach area. The beach itself is not very friendly, it has black volcanic sand with pebbles, there are also stones in the water and it deepens quickly, so it is not recommended for small children. The beach itself is beautiful in its natural scenery, but it has the disadvantages...

We picked the restaurant closest to where we parked our car and hit the jackpot! The grilled sea bream (tsipoura) was what foodie dreams are made of. The cuttlefish stifado (braised cuttlefish with onions) was a delightful appetizer along with fried zucchini, tzatziki, and melitzanosalata (an eggplant-based "salad/spread"). Das Personal ist sehr nett. Leider wurde eine Bier Bestellung komplett vergessen. Es spricht auch deutsch. Das Restaurant hat eine hervorragende Lage direkt am Strand. Man kann drinnen und draußen mit Blick auf den Strand und das Meer sitzen. Die Speisekarte ist in 5!! Sprachen und hat einen guten Umfang von hauptsächlich griechischen aber auch internationalem Speisen. Die Preise sind für diese gute Lage ausgesprochen günstig. Es ist kostenloses WLAN vorhanden. Unsere Speisen Darkos mit Hackfleisch gefüllte Auberginen sowie Tsatsiki und griechische Würstchen waren schnell da und alles relativ gut. Das Würstchen war als Vorspeise deklariert, es war jedoch für mich eine komplette Hauptspeise. Es waren 2 mittelgroße Würstchen mit Pommes und Salat. Die Würstchen waren hervorragend, die Pommes waren bei uns beiden leider weich und gar nicht knusprig. Die gefüllten Auberginen waren auch OK, hätten jedoch würziger sein können. Leider war das Olivenöl Fläschchen außen ziemlich Öl verschmiert. Nach dem Essen gab es noch kostenloses Obst und Raki. 40 Euro für 4 große Getränke, 2 Vorspeisen 2 Vorspeisen und 2 Hauptspeisen plus Obst und Raki ist für diese Lage ein gutes Preis...
