Remezzo all day cafe snack bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Ios

Personally the worst place in Ios, this has been the first time me and my friends were treated and felt so unwelcome with so unprofessional, arrogant, impolite staff, deciding for us where we should sit. As soon as we walked through the door me and my friends we were still deciding where to sit. Eventually we decided we wanted to sit on the sofa (please bear in mind we were 3 people) and the sofa was for 6 people. Therefore, we were refused to sit on the sofa due to the lack of people sitting on the sofa as we were 3 instead of 6. As well, there were not that many people around for you to think that someone else or a group of people could possibly go there.

In my opinion even if there were people around or a group of 6, if as a customer was there before the group of 6, I should had the option to choose where to sit and the priority. As this is not a classy, overbooked restaurant, for them to decide where to sit. Even if it was a good restaurant/ place would give you the option to choose. But NOT THIS PLACE. This is the most ridiculous thing I have experienced in my life. I have also worked in the hospitality section, and I fully understand the workload and the difficult customers that you might encounter. Which in our case we just wanted to sit on the sofa to rest before our trip with the ferry. As we were hungover and we would probably have spent some money on drinks and food as we were waiting 2-3 hours for the ferry.

BUT I also fully understand how a PROPER BUSINESS should OPERATE treating customer with RESPECT and ACCESSIBILITY.

The place gives you the impression that is a nice, welcoming place. Please don’t make the same mistake, there is a lovely place right next to it. Go there where your free will...

One of the worst places in all of Ios. We ordered a coffee and a bottle of water and then within minutes were berated about how long we planned to sit at the cafe because “this isn’t a waiting area”. This place is located right across the port so naturally their whole business is people who are waiting for ferries. Needless to say we felt very unwelcome. The coffee was nothing to die for, a 100 ml sparkling water cost 3euros, and the service was very subpar. There are plenty of other cafes around, if i were you, Id take my business to the ones next door. Thanks Remezzos, for leaving a bad last impression of the otherwise lovely Ios. Also Salt, the restaurant on mytopolas beach is a must. Much better service and the food knocks...

Το προσωπικό είναι φιλικό και εξυπηρετικό, πάντα πρόθυμο να βοηθήσει και να προτείνει τις καλύτερες επιλογές ανάλογα με τις προτιμήσεις του κάθε πελάτη. Η εξυπηρέτηση είναι γρήγορη και επαγγελματική, κάτι που κάνει τη συνολική εμπειρία στο Remezzo ακόμα πιο ευχάριστη.
