Allo Bar - Tapas — Restaurant in Municipality of Ios

We discovered Allo during the second day of our holiday. Initially we stopped there for the happy hour and took a couple of London Mule cocktails that Kalima’s meticulously prepared us. But the time flies when you enjoy the company as we met Salome — the owner of the bar —, Jimmy— the chef —, and a wonderful couple, Mathieu and Margot. We spent with them most of the days of our holiday and we always had a great time together. We also went to Allo for dinner and we took the local cheese plate, the grilled octopus and the greek salad. Each plate was perfectly prepared, the octopus was tender and tasty and the quality of the food was really high. Really unassuming little gem, hidden away in the harbour. My girlfriend and myself visited on a Sunday evening. We were greated warmly and given pleanty of time to order our food/drinks. We ordered; fava, saganaki aubergine and marinated chicken. The fava was warm and delicious, with lots of capers and spring onion. Saganaki aubergine was one we hadn't had before, but would definitely order again. The marinated chicken was absolutely beautiful, the chicken was marinated perfectly and plated up like a portrait. We enjoyed very, very much our dinner at Allo Bar - Tapas. The owner is the chef, he is very charismatic and carreful with clients. He offered to make some shadow for us and we felt very comfortable. The food was absolutely great. I ate fresh fish of the day and I enjoyed it a lot. It had some veggies and rice a side. My friends ate fava an d grilled octopus, they were amazing.
