I can’t say the food was bad because it would be unfair but is expensive for what you get. The portions are small and the taste/quality are not outstanding.
I normally wouldn’t eat in a restaurant on this location (little square next to the ferries) because I know is probably expensive and made for tourists arriving-departing the island but I read some really good reviews so I felt, my bad anyways. You can find way better food for a much better price in the island. To highlight: the lady and gentleman who serve you are really nice and friendly.
Me and another person in the group we ordered two whole grilled fishes (25-30€ each and not big at all) and the man said they come with fries. When the fishes arrived they came with only one really small dish of fries and he said that was the fries to share for the two of us. It was literally no more than 10-15 fries for each one plus the awkward fact of having to share with someone that I barely knew (a co-worker’s partner) sitting on the opposite side of the table. The pork chop was decent size but also came with an extra small...
Read moreAn amazing experience. This place was recommended both by our host in the island and also at Diaseli cheese production facility on the island. And they couldn't have been more right to do so. A really friendly welcome by Marianna who was very accomodating to our requests and also made some suggestions of her own. We ended up picking a few dishes including small fish ( Atherina and Sardela) which were locally caught, fried calamari, local french fries, a really nice salad with boiled carrots, potatoes, radish and ultimately some zucchini balls. We also got their own freshly-baked bread right off the oven. We paid around 70€ for 4 people, which was really good value for money especially if you take into account the locally sourced ingredients and their awesome taste. The place is really good for kids so they can play in the square right in front of the tavern, also a plus...
Read moreWe've returned several times to this little restaurant by the port, where courtesy reigns supreme and the fresh, homemade food is always excellent. Traditional Greek dishes and the freshest fish of the day are available to choose from: they weigh it right in front of you on the scales, show you the weight, and immediately tell you the price so you're not surprised. The food is grilled to perfection. Hospitality is sacred, and every evening at dinner you feel like you're in the right place at the right time. At the end of the meal, they always offer you a digestif and a small homemade dessert. The girls of the team is always smiling and ready to offer advice on the most beautiful beaches and places to visit. Well done! Thank you for the...
