First I have to say that for lot of people the food would be great, but I have quite high standards for sushi.
The sushi chef was sick so they didn't serve maki or uramaki rolls at all. They served instead sushi bowls compound from the maki rolls ingredients. They recommended to eat the bowl with a spoon, which was weird, but I understood why, when I got the bowl: everything was cut so small, it was hard to eat it with chopsticks. The taste was okay even though a little bit of mess with too many different things in it. It also lacked of any kind of sauce, there were only majo or cream cheese according to choice. I added soy sauce, but would have preferred teriyaki sauce or something like that. Mango in the bowl was also a little bit weird and added the feeling of a circus of flavors in your mouth.
The nigiri balls were way too big and the topping was way too thin for both salmon and avocado. The avocado was sliced really thin on top, so that it had dried before getting to the table. Creamy and fresh avocado nigiri was far from what we got. The salmon was so thin you could see the rice through it. The taste and consistency of the rice was quite good but I would have added just a little bit more flavor and moist to it. The soy sauce was just kikkoman soy sauce straight from the bottle, it hadn't been flavored and diluted in any way, so it was way too strong.
In positive, the edamame beans where perfect, the spring rolls where hot and crispy and the kimchi was quite good, but not the best. They also complied to my requests for the nigiri topping (avocado was not on the menu, so perhaps that's why it was made so badly). The waiter was a bit arrogant but nice and complied with my endless questions and requests.
All and all, the food was okay and filled us up, but I would not come again. For me their sushi was too much of gimmicks with too many decorations and different flavors, which I consider the "american" style to make sushi. The presentation of dishes was imaginative but not the most...

Stacey's Yum-Me Kitchen is a small, sushi restaurant located in Pigadia. The restaurant was only when we were here open on Fridays and Saturdays, but it's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike.
I had the opportunity to dine at Stacey's Yum-Me Kitchen twice during my recent trip to Karpathos. I was blown away by the quality of the sushi. The fish was fresh and flavorful, and the rolls were perfectly made.
I tried the Rock Prawn roll, the Spicy Crab roll, the Tiger roll, and a Maki roll with Tempura shrimp. All of the rolls were delicious, but my favorite was the Rock Prawn roll. The prawns were cooked perfectly and the sauce was a perfect blend of sweet and savory.
The service at Stacey's Yum-Me Kitchen is also excellent. The staff is friendly and attentive, and they are always happy to answer questions about the menu.
If you're looking for the best sushi on Karpathos, I highly recommend Stacey's Yum-Me Kitchen. The food is amazing, the service is excellent, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting.

Read moreI’m lactose intolerant ( those who have can understand how this affects your body and how painful it is). Our order was a sweet and sour chicken (not something I’ll be back for), egg noddles with veggies and a California Roll.
They brought us the California roll and written in the menu was that the ingredients are: crab, cucumber, avo, MAYO and sesame seeds. (see attached photos), a safe option for me and my intolerance. Our roll had cream cheese instead of Mayo.
I’ve mentioned to the waitress that I was feeling bloated and itchy and asked if they have added cream cheese and told me that they made a mistake cause they had two orders of California rolls, but in the second order they have asked to have cream cheese instead of Mayo. So basically they messed up their orders.
Double checking of the orders before getting out especially if there are special requests is essential for multiple reasons, number one is being professional in what you are doing and the service/experience you provide to your customers.
The owner (very sweet lady) came and apologize for the incident but the...
