ZAMBRI — Restaurant in Municipality of Kifisia

By far the most disappointing experience we had over dinner the last few years i can remember. How can such an expensive and impressive restaurant have such bad food we couldn't comprehend really. The experience started nice to be honest with some starters asparagus, a taliata and a burrata salad. The mains unfortunately were to such low standards. Lamb was not even rare, it was actually red, soaking in blood inside, even my brother that is a rare meat eater , couldn't eat the really ridiculous small portion of lamb he was served. Then we go to the calamari risotto which was okish , maybe the best dish from what we all had. Some fried barbounia which was 3 small barnounia, like a joke indeed. And the biggest hit of the evening was the roasted baby chicken 600gr. So here comes a big wood plate and we witness a chicken spread on the plate that is smaller than my hand , so lets pass the portion part, ok they want to play with us. My wife cuts open the breast of the chicken and its red uncooked inside.😒. So we call the waiter that comes with an attitude, im so close to loose my temper, but we are civilized so i ask him to investigate a bit on the idea of how a chicken should be cooked or in other words , my friend its chicken needs to be cooked, don't you think. So the guy is like we are sorry, takes it and after 10 min brings back the same chicken cooked, he recooked a 3€ chicken, instead of preparing a new plate , so i go you are just making fun of us right.

Anyway that ruined the evening for us all , in addition to everything else we were offered to eat. I would stay away from this restaurant and i will personally advise everyone to do so as well. They are a joke , or the owner has no idea how incapable the people that work there are. Because the place is unreal decoration and atmosphere wise. A very nice place indeed, but maybe only for coffee, they don't deserve to be called a high class restaurant in the middle of Kifissia. Price wise they charged high prices for what they offered , we ended up paying for not eating 280€ 6 people. Sad indeed and they just reopened for...

We came here with my family on new year’s with no reservation and thankfully we didn’t have to wait long to take us to an available table. We were sat to a table very close to the door and we asked to switch because we were cold (due to the door opening and closing). They quickly and very politely moved us to another table. However it was not stable at all and their “solution” was to make it lay on top of the other table to “stabilise” it, which of course did not work. They said that it only happened that same day (I believe it was broken long before that). We changed tables again and we were brought only 2 food catalogues and 1 wine catalog for 4 people. The dishes were really tasteful, but in my opinion the portions were small for the prices. The drinks were really good but there was no catalog for them so we didn’t know what they had or their prices. The staff was kind and friendly. Very disappointed! Pros: Nice interior design and polite personnel Cons: FOOD:Very poor quality food. Patatas bravas reheated with a flavorless sauce Caesar salad without any dressing whatsoever, the type you can find in the cheapest tourist restaurant or even a hospital SERVICE: To top all that we were waiting for 35 minutes to get a dessert which was a simple cheesecake that is supposed to be ready and you only have to serve it As for the service, they were all very polite but still it was clear that they had no experience in their job they weren't looking at the tables they weren't checking up the customers they weren't actually servicing MUSIC It was unbelievably bad.
