The Amorous Project — Restaurant in Municipality of Kifisia

Νιce environment, interesting but acquired taste aesthetics. We were four persons, we ordered two pizzas, a carbonara and a mushroom risotto plus four beers.

Pizzas were nice but nothing special and their size resembled more a big Peinirli (it’s a daw usually filled with cheese, bacon, tomato etc, resembles a pizza taste wise a bit and it has the shape of an oval) than a pizza!

Carbonara was way undercooked, size wise more like a sample (!) and it had no relation to…carbonara, it’s called that way because of a particular recipe that just wasn’t there.

Risotto was good enough.

The beer menu was very poor with only Heineken and another one available. They supposedly have some beers of their own with their own label but non was available!

When we asked for the bill the waiter asked us If we’d like to add a tip!! Although I obliged (I was gonna leave a tip anyway) that’s grossly rude, disrespectful towards the customers and unprofessional from a supposedly serious establishment ! You don’t ask customers to give you a tip, you let them choose or not to do so!

We paid 107€ which was excruciatingly expensive for the quality, quantity and the small size of the four dishes!

You can find many more places in Kifisia and elsewhere with much better food in every way and much cheaper and they won’t gonna demand a tip in your face!

Avoid it, it’s not...

It is located in the center of Kifissia and has a large menu with food and drink options. We tried the black pizza with Jack Daniels sauce which impressed us with its taste and in the way it was served, the caccio e peppe pasta and the carbonara, which did not impress us. Small portions and no special taste. From drinks there is a wide variety of wines. We didn't like that we weren't asked if we wanted tap or bottled water and we were served bottled water, which we never ordered. The indoor area was very nice and modern, but the tables are very squeezed and there aren't any corridors for customers and staff. Certainly the fire safety rules in this place are not observed and there is a high risk due to the wooden oven located in the back of the area. The staff were very kind and helpful. I am sharing this specific review to ensure no other people will get same scam and food poisoning as us. We went there to eat (not drink) but this is mostly a nice instagramable Kifisia bar basically to drink. They have some overpriced food options where based on instagram photos we thought it would be nice good quality and instead we had cheese, salad and meat that were undercooked and dirty causing us the same day food poisoning. Unacceptable. You want to be in the business, that's fine guys, stick with drinks, don't cause to people food poisoning because you are advertising this as both bar and restaurant and don't have proper kitchen conditions.
