Hippocrates — Restaurant in Municipality of Kos

We had the pleasure of dining at this charming and welcoming restaurant multiple times during our 10-day vacation. The quality of the food and the exceptional service made it a favorite, leading us to return a total of four times.

For starters, we enjoyed a Greek salad and spring rolls, both of which were excellently prepared. Our main courses—a pizza Inferno and spaghetti—were flavorful and generously portioned. A complimentary dessert at the end of the meal was a delightful surprise and equally delicious.

One of the standout dishes we tried was the Hippocrates burger. The burger was exceptionally flavorful, juicy, and tender, with an accompanying sauce that perfectly complemented the meal. The fries served alongside were also particularly well-seasoned and enjoyable.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. On one occasion, we requested takeaway, and they promptly guided us to a table where we could comfortably wait. The service was quick and efficient, and the hospitality was consistently warm.

This was a restaurant suggested to us as our first stop from the airport we arrived and it was empty so I went inside to ask if they were still serving food and with delight they were. We quickly ordered a pizza and chips and beers as we were very hungry. The lady serving us chatted to us, telling us more about the restaurant that it was a family run business and asked to hold my 6 month out child. She was very good with him and interactive he was very happy for her to hold him and show him off to all the staff members who were very pleased to interact with him also. After only a few short minutes our food arrived and it was amazing 👏 cooked to perfection if I'm honest we finished up and sat at our table using the WiFi searching our hotel and finishing a beer when the lady arrived out with a dessert for us on the house free of charge. This dessert was very tasty and well appreciated by myself and my partner. We would 100% recommend and will return throughout our stay.! We are back. And the food is even better than before. Everything we had was amazing. I’m not a pizza person and my daughters pizza I would have quite happily had myself.

The feta in filo with honey starter has somehow got better. We waited 4 years to come back for it. Well worth the wait.

The prices are also still brilliant for not just the amount of food but the quality.

Also, special mention to the lady from America who works there who remembered us straight away despite the fact we haven’t been for 4 years. She’s brilliant*

Sadly only started coming to this place in 2019 after going to Kefalos for 20 years. Very upsetting as the food is top notch! Haven’t had a single bad meal here. It’s all so tasty and fresh.

Bonus! You get pudding included. A lovely honey sponge with ice cream...
