This is my second time in Kos, and I liked this place last year, so I decided to come back. Last year, I ordered grilled octopus and received a full plate (3 or 4 legs) for around 19 euros. This year, I ordered the same dish, but they served me just a single small octopus leg with a side of greens—for 20 euros. It’s ridiculous that prices increase like this per item, especially in an environment where inflation isn’t that high.
There was a huge difference between this plate and the ones I’ve had elsewhere in the same area. I also noticed a significant drop in the quality of their other dishes, and I was not happy at all. I recommend going somewhere else.
If they think they’re getting too many customers and can afford to lower the quality like this, they shouldn’t be in business. They reflect poorly on the image of Kos. Let me share a picture of the old plate so you can see how much of a difference it makes.
Kos has been a wonderful vacation spot for us, and we plan to return next year. At least now we know which restaurants we shouldn't go to. I won't be recommending it to my friends, either.
P.S: The photo I shared here shows exactly what was served to me as “octopus” according to your own menu. If you claim that this is not octopus but calamari tentacles, then either your menu is misleading, or you are intentionally deceiving customers. Both cases are unacceptable. What you served looked identical to what’s shown in the picture—and there was only one piece on the plate. Before responding to reviews, you should take a serious look at what you are actually serving. Don’t insult customers’ intelligence...
Read moreI returned to Scorpios Taverna tonight with my Mum and Dad after first visiting during my stay in October of 2023. The food, service and people at Scorpios are all as fantastic as before. The very friendly and helpful lady taking our order went to specifically ask the chef if baked Feta with tomato and peppers was available to order, as I mentioned we had last year but was not on menu and within seconds was told that it was no problem at all and they would cook for us!! 😊👍🏼 The Moussaka, served in traditional clay pots with a side salad and dressing is fantastic and one of the best, tasty and delicious!! Fantastic ice cream as dessert!! An absolutely brilliant restaurant, tasty food, great setting and fantastic friendly staff!! We will be back very soon!!...

The food is absolutely excellent, the Moussaka, Stifado and Pork Steak were our absolute favourites!! The bread and butter to start was delicious, as was the varied desserts that were served, all excellent!!
