Disappointing Experience for Families and the Disabled
I recently visited Naod Cafe with my family, which included two small children and an elderly person with a handicap. Unfortunately, our experience at the restaurant was quite disappointing, and I feel compelled to share my feedback.
Upon arrival, we were seated promptly, but my wife had to bring her mother, who is handicapped, to the table. It took her around 10 to 15 minutes to navigate through the restaurant, which was not an easy task. During this time, we ordered our drinks and noticed that the area where we were seated was very windy, which was concerning for our small children.
Recognizing the potential discomfort and safety risks posed by the wind, we politely approached our waiter and requested to be moved to a different table. Thankfully, he acknowledged our request and agreed to relocate us. However, instead of assisting us promptly, the waiter disappeared for an extended period of time.
After what seemed like an excessive wait, the waiter finally returned, but instead of helping us move to a more suitable table, he handed us the bill and informed us that the staff had no time for us. This response was not only unexpected but also highly unprofessional and disrespectful.
As a customer, I believe that a restaurant should prioritize the comfort and needs of their guests, particularly those with special requirements. It was disheartening to experience such a lack of empathy and consideration from the restaurant staff, especially given the presence of small children and an elderly person with a handicap. The waiter was also very rude since the time he notice we speak English he told us we took an hour to get seated and he didnt have tume for us any longer, when it was 10 to 15 minutes for our mother in law get true the hill to the restaurant, they threw the bill at the table when we didn't request it and walk away.
I would like to emphasize the importance of providing equal and inclusive treatment to all patrons, regardless of their age or physical abilities. Not only does this reflect positively on the establishment, but it also fosters a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat business and positive word-of-mouth recommendations.
In summary, my family and I had a disappointing experience at Naos Cafe. The lack of assistance, the long wait, and the dismissive attitude towards our concerns left us feeling neglected and disrespected. I hope that the management takes our feedback seriously and works towards improving their service and creating a more inclusive environment...
Read moreVery disappointed. First our order wasn’t taken correctly, they missed my drink and my sons burger. Later it was twisted and used against me by saying that I keep changing my mind and keep adding to the list. My meal was served first, the next meal came out 15 minutes later and waited for the burger over 45 minutes. At this stage I was getting frustrated as we only had about an hour left til sunset, which we planned to watch from the Temple. So I told the waiter that laughed in my face and told me that I still have 2 hours so relax!
I asked for my money back so we can leave. That request was simply refused and been told the burger will be ready in a couple of minutes which I was also told 15 minutes before that. I reminded the waiter of that. Then he said it is ready, I asked ok where is it then? He started raising his voice middle of the restaurant and pointed around for me to see that I’m not the only customer there (we were second table when we arrived) making me look like a demanding customer! I could not believe he was talking to me in that tone and manner! Mind you several other staff members passed us and not one of them stepped in. All I wanted is a simple burger that was ordered over 45 minutes ago. Next table also started to complain as they were also waiting for over an hour for gyros only. Anyway, the burger finally appeared and we had a fantastic sunset to watch in the end. Shame on him for treating me like that! You know I understand that there might have been some issues on that day but wouldn’t it be nicer to communicate respectfully? Customer service was a disgrace, the waiter let his own workplace down. …and they tried to...
Read moreThe sunset at the POSEIDON temple is a wonderful experience, I recommend it to everyone, if you can, go see it. However, the service at the Naos cafe and restaurant at the foot of the temple is below criticism. Two of the family members drank iced coffee, which was of undrinkable quality, as if they had drunk foamy coffee grounds, and the smell and taste were horrible. The rest of the family had dinner, eating gyros and hamburgers. The taste of the food was not bad, but it cannot be called good either. Unfortunately, after dinner, everyone's vacation was spoiled by vomiting and diarrhea for two days. I would also like to make a few comments about the staff of the Naos restaurant. If I had to describe the staff in one word, the word tragedy comes to mind. The staff is phlegmatic, lazy and has zero professionalism. We have traveled a lot in Europe, but I have never seen a place where, during opening hours, the servers sit in a row on a chair by the counter and chat, plus the kitchen girls in dirty clothes and aprons join them, while the guests wait an average of 20-30 minutes to even take their order at their table. A good piece of advice for the owner: if you employ unskilled servers who don't even know the basic rules of service, then at least kindness should be a criterion, that is always an improvement on the otherwise unqualified standard. I do not recommend the Naos café and restaurant to anyone, it is a disgrace to...
