LOCUS ART STEKI — Restaurant in Municipality of Marathonas

On 28th sept 2025 our flight got diverted to Athens because of very bad weather on Zakynthos. For our stayover we went to Mati (Nea Makri), on the coast near Athens.

And the next day we went to Locus Art Steki restaurant.

And we were not disappointed, quite te opposite! The food was excellent, and the drinks the same. And the service and pricing was even better.

But best of all was the friendliness of the owner (Angela) and her partner. We talked about life and even got the the level that we could talk about the personal matters in our life.

When we left the restaurant, we left with very good feelings, almost like leaving some friends.

Nice restaurant near the sea's edge. We ate there one evening when we were strolling on the street and came by this place. It looked inviting and we decided to give it a shot. We had good food and we had a nice table. The staff is very kind and helpful. They even made a vegetarian moussaka for us which wasn't on the menu! If we're even in the area again we'll...

Made the mistake of ordering food here. The worst and smallest gyros I've ever seen, and it was ridiculously expensive (9eur). Barely any meat on it and dry tortilla.

The staff just sat around smoking and drinking while listening to loud music. Maybe this place is more intended as a bar but I would at least not recommend anyone...
