We ate here twice while in Kastellorizo and it was incredible! The home cooked meals made with love felt like you were eating at Yiayia’s house! We tried almost everything on the menu, with clear favourites being the local goat and potatoes/rice, dolmades, horta (local greens), stuffed eggplant with mince, stuffed onions and the best dessert in all of Greece - their homemade politico. Not all menu choices are available every night as the cooks focus on a few key dishes and offer what is locally available. The location is away from the buzzing port strip which is so nice when you have large groups and children (we did!) and there is a little children’s area with a swing and tables for them to play quietly when the adults are relaxing. These meals and experiences are forever ingrained in our minds. Thank you for serving quality food made with love. Wish we could pop in regularly! Highly recommend to all visitors in Kastellorizo - may well be the best meal and service you’ll have...
Read moreHonestly I wanted to like this place, I really did. Further inland, next to a lovely church, ran by wonderful friendly people, and the food is actually really tasty. That being said the prices for the meals were exorbitant even by Kastellorizo prices and that’s saying something. Relatively small portions of soutzoukakia (meatballs in tomato sauce with a bit of rice) for 20€?! Tiny amount of lamb with a few potatoes for 20€? Given that one can literally get cuttlefish, calamari, octopus, and other far more exotic fare for 15-18€ by the waterfront these prices were highway robbery. The fact that we weren’t shown menus but were only surprised at the end added insult to the injury so I can only assume they realised we were foreigners and gouged us which doesn’t really...
Read moreI visited this place late September and it was the worst decision of my entire holidays. We ordered bread, Greek salad, tzatziki, saganaki, ntolmades and stuffed onions (both plates without meat, possibly to minimize their cost). Half of the menu wasn't even available and that's why we ordered these plates. The bread was hard as a rock, portion of the feta on the Greek salad was for a baby, saganaki was burnt, ntolmades and onions had the same stuffing - nothing special for their price. Everything was overpriced and the staff was really rude. They asked my honest opinion about the food, I gave it to them and because they didn't like it they started calling me names etc. The only nice thing was the atmosphere. Overall a very bad experience. Would not...
