EGOIST — Restaurant in Municipality of Milos

We arrive. Wait 10min and it’s like we’re invisible. Not an issue tho, at many restaurants we’ve had to let our waiter know we were ready to order. So we flag our waiter down and he gives me a head nod. Another 10 minutes later, still, no one has come by. We get up and go get our own menus.

We figure out what we want, but we’re invisible again. After two attempts of flagging down our waiter and 30 minutes later, he comes over to take our order. We are 50 minutes in by this point. Also, it is impossible to add avocado to the bacon and egg sandwich. Apparently science hasn’t come that far yet.

The coffee comes pretty quickly, we ask for waters as well, and our waiter disappears. 20 minutes later we ask again for our water and finally he brings it.

40 minutes after we place, our food order the food arrives. Also, in the description on the menu, it said that there was a certain type of sauce on the sandwich. The sandwiches we received had no such sauce. So I asked for hot sauce and they said that they had it. So I wait an additional 10 minutes for them to bring the hot sauce so I could have it with my sandwich. Nothing comes, so I ask again. Another 10 minutes later, still nothing has arrived. At this point, I’ve been staring at a breakfast sandwich for 20 minutes and decide that I’m just going to eat it. The sauce still never arrives.

The food was not bad, it just wasn’t what was described on the menu and the service was horrendous. It took two hours of our day to get a ham and egg sandwich and a coffee. 10 out of 10 would not...

We ended up at Egoist Milos every single night of our stay — and not once did we consider going anywhere else. That alone should say it all!

From the moment you walk in, you’re wrapped in a warm, stylish atmosphere that perfectly blends island charm with effortless cool. The food? Unreal. Every dish is a love letter to the Greek palate — fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The drinks are just as memorable: creative cocktails, perfectly balanced, and served with a flair that makes you feel like you’re part of something special.

A special shoutout to the incredible waitress with the purple hair — she was the heart of the place. Warm, funny, and so attentive without ever being overbearing. She made every night feel personal and joyful. You don’t always get that kind of hospitality, and it absolutely elevated the whole experience.
