5 star by EU standards from an American fine dining server with 10 years experience, before I became an engineer.
Clear, obvious and strong desire to make the customer happy at all costs, that's 90% of the battle. The server remembered my order from the day before... thats impressive and a nice touch, not expected... bonus points.
Excellent food... lamb over linguine was excellent... the meatballs are traditional Greek but they elongate them which was clever and an improvement on ancient recipes, which can be difficult to achieve... like the French baguette improved bread for everone, these guys improved the meatball.
Seems there were 3 wifi networks with the name flisvos, couldn't get any to work with the password on the table the second time I went but phone was dieing anyway... recommend simplifying down to 1 network... if a computer engineer couldn't get it, others will have a harder time... worked fine first time I went. No worries... keep it up... shoot for perfection, you will feel good when you achieve it from time to...
Read moreThis restaurant became our go to place when in Adamantas. It was pretty full come meal time but we always managed to find a table. The waiters were nice and fast to take and bring our order. Comparing to other places where I had mousaka and taramosalata, this was way better. In the mousaka I could taste all ingredients - eggplants, potatoes, mincemeat sauce and a light and airy bechamel that did not overpower the rest (a bit saltier though). Taramosalata is best to be enjoyed on bread as a spread. Eggplant salad is also best enjoyed on fresh bread and it is not unusual to have it cold. I also really liked the lamb with lemon sauce, the sauce was very light and tasty, I would reorder it anytime. I do not understand reviews where they complain these are already prepared. It is normal to cook a big tray of mousaka all at once. It is also normal to make eggplant salad beforehand and keep it fresh in the fridge like the locals do. These meals take time, who would want to wait one hour or more for these...
Read moreGreat eatery on the sea front of Adamas, Milos. Take a seat and choose from the menu in the safe knowledge that what the prices says it is then that is what you're going to pay. Only the Lamb was given as a price per gram so they give fair warning if the price is going to change. Both my wife and I had the steak & fries and although the size of the steak wasn't given we took a chance. We need not have worried though as both steaks were of ample size and the amount of chips matched the steak portion. Service is good although it appears that the restaurant is run by some ageing family so give them a little time and they will get to you. The younger waiter speak excellent English so he came to take our order. The meal itself was delicious and the steak had great flavour (often disappointed with other restaurants and bland tasting steaks) so would recommend to everyone. As a side note, the menu catered for all tastes not just...
