An Overpriced Tourist Trap in Mykonos with Tiny Portions and Horrible Service

If you're looking for a dining experience in Mykonos that will leave you feeling ripped off and frustrated, look no further than vangelis taverna. As a frequent summer visitor to the island, I've eaten at countless restaurants, but this one takes the cake for being the worst of the worst.

Let's start with the prices. Brace yourself, because dining here will cost you an arm and a leg. The menu prices are very high, even by Mykonos standards.

Now, let's talk about the portion sizes. If you're hoping for a hearty meal, you'll be disappointed. The plates are ridiculously small, leaving you wondering if they're meant for dolls rather than human beings. you'll be left unsatisfied and hungry. The meat we eat was quite good, but not worth the price.

Unfortunate tourists with tour groups are dragged here for subpar food and service. Due to dietary restrictions, we chose to order lunch from the menu instead of accepting the meat and cheese meal that was included with our tour.

The grilled octopus was ridiculously overcooked. We asked for sea bream and, despite the fact that our guide suggested that they serve us only one fish to share, they insisted on unnecessarily serving us two gigantic whole fish. We asked them to filet them for us. The server replied that it would be his first time doing so. Again, the fish was absurdly overcooked. Neither dish had any flavor whatsoever. No wonder we were advised to use olive oil — but overcooked fish cannot be salvaged. The guide’s excuse was that it was a meat restaurant, not a seafood restaurant. Pitiful!

Wow- this really was the worst Restaurant where we‘ve been eating for ages! Bad food, bad service- really disappointing! We occupied the only table and were served with the wrong food, drinks were forgotten and the food: Made without love- and we were even charged the double price for a bread busket for 3 people (2 adults, 1 Child) because „it was a a lot of bread“ (3 pieces!) really our worst visit 4 dinner ever- we have never seen such sad location!
