A terrible "special cut". Service and atmosphere are nice. A little noisy because of its location and personally I didn't like the music background chosen. But this is subjective anyhow. Two persons we dined and we payed 187 Eur. We ordered a salad, eggplants,3 small (330ml) beers, a meat plate and a profiterole The 3 stars rate are for all the others except of the main course. The waiter offered us as best choice the " week's special cut" It was the only catalog entry without price. He informed us that it was a special and unique part of the veal and the price for a 330grams piece was 110Eur. Although the last night we tasted a wonderful tagliata in an other restaurant we decided to try this experience. When the dish came and tried the first bite, we realized our big mistake and the great fraud. The meat was tough, and fibrous. The edge of the piece was like rubber. We tried to eat some and our plates filled with chewed meat parts we spit because we could not swallow. I called the waiter and told him the problem. He said that he would informed the cook and come back. He never did. After the dessert we asked for the bill. No-one had the courtesy to compensate our bad experience and the restaurant demanded us to pay the full bill. The gentlemen have to understand that when they offer a "special cut" and they demand as price 10 times the price you buy a fillet in a good butcher, the client expects something really good -really special. If they fail, its a code of ethics to compensate the cost. But in our case the target was our wallet. So, according to our experience, stay away from the "special cut". If you want to challenge your luck, the...
Read moreBest food experience in Mykonos so far! Starting with the ambient, the place is beautifully decorated and I personally loved the music tracks. The staff are super friendly and polite; here I want to highlight Theo who professionally attended our table and was of great help, especially with the wine and food selection. This is one of those places where even house wines by the glass are excellent. I recommend the red one: Agiorgitiko with very powerful strawberry notes. The food was amazing! We had the Mykonian sausages as an appetizer and loved them. My wife had the mutton stew and it was delicious, however a bit mild. A bit more garlic and a little bit more acidity would take it to the next level. I had the lamb shank with honey-mustard sauce and baby potatoes and OH MY GOODNESS, that sauce was heavenly! Some carrots would have also added some color and variety to this already amazing dish. We both loved this place and will definitely come back for a goodbye dinner before leaving mykonos. Keep up the good...
Read moreWe were visiting Ano Mera around dinner time and decided to stop at this beautiful restaurant. It had just opened two weeks prior. The restaurant appeared new with visually stunning fixtures. There was major wind but they had blankets on hand for their customers! The waitstaff was quick and polite. They also stayed in the background and let us enjoy our meal leisurely. We started with the lamb bruschetta and the phyllo wrapped feta. Both delicious! My kids enjoyed their ragu while my husband delighted in the tender BBQ short ribs. The fries were also crispy and dusted in paprika. I continue to try the Greek salads at every restaurant. This one was consistent with some of the other great restaurants that we have been to in Mykonos. The feta was tasty as were the two different types of tomatoes found in the salad. This place is excellent. If I ever return to Mykonos, I would make sure to...
