Absolutely Amazing! A Must-Visit in Ano Mera Vergos Taverna is a true gem in Ano Mera, Mykonos! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome — some of the friendliest people we met on the island.

The food was delicious and full of authentic Greek flavor. Everything we ordered was fresh and cooked to perfection. The Greek salad was a standout — packed with juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers, and the most flavourful feta we’ve ever tasted.

And the desserts… just wow! The baklava was absolutely amazing — sweet, flaky, and unforgettable. To top it all off, they surprised us with a complimentary treat of the sweetest watermelon — the perfect refreshing finish to a perfect meal.

We visited Vergos Taverna as part of our cruise excursion, and it was a highlight of our time in Mykonos. The food was fresh, traditional, and full of flavor – exactly what you’d hope for in a Greek taverna experience.

Start with the Greek salad – crisp veggies, briny olives, and creamy feta that just hits right in the island sun. The rice and Greek lamb patty were a satisfying main, well-seasoned and hearty. A standout surprise was the croissant-like pastry served with hummus – light, flaky, and perfectly paired.

To finish, we had a refreshing dessert of creamy Greek yogurt topped with bits of juicy watermelon – a simple but delightful way to end the meal.

I wanted to put zero star but unfortunately not possible. Where to start?... Quality of food was averaged, Service almost inexistant, kids playing around and making noise (at a point i turned to what seemed to be the owner's wife, who was grounding the kids, which were obviously over-spoiled kids and won't listen when the mom asked them to stay quiet and not disturbing the guests, and i just told her to let go, that they are just kids after all).. The grilled Sardines was awful, and we had to asked twice for the bill while we were the only guest in the restaurant at that time. Very dissapointed, we are definitely not comimg back.
