Experience:: Ok so where do I begin…….This place is a casual fine dining restaurant in a lovely small town of Mykonos called Ano Mera! Shout out to Konstantinos! He is the son of the Head Chef/Owner Patron. He knows his stuff! He was our server and did not disappoint on the recommendations.
Food :: What my wife and I loved about this place was not only the delicious meal we received but also the cuisine was close to a fine dining experience without the heavy price tag. The personal family touch made it a pleasurable experience. So for $151 euros(162 USD), our meal included Salad, pita, eggplant spread, fried zucchini, octopus, cuttlefish, bottle of wine and dessert(orange pie). This price included tax and tip. Everything was delicious! Went to another place earlier in the day and there was no comparison to the quality and taste of the food at Fisherman! If you like Octopus, get it!!! No chewy Octopus business here! Tender, tasty and juicy! And also try the cuttlefish. Super tasty squid type fish cooked in its oil. It looks a little weird because it’s black but the flavor and taste is out of this world! The spinach salad is probably one of the best salads I’ve ever had! The cheese used in the salad is Mykonos petroti cheese with an orange vinaigrette that had NO OIL! Super tasty! And the Zucchini Balls……DELICIOUS! Bottom line:: I can keep going but I’m running out of space. If you want to save some money and not spend a fortune in Mykonos but still want quality food at a casual place that you won’t feel stuffy or overly boogie… come here! You won’t be...

Read moreWe stumbled upon this cute local spot by accident when another nearby restaurant was closed. We loved it so much that we came back the next day too. The ingredients are so fresh and plates are craftily plated. The staff is kind and attentive but not overly so.
We loved the fava bean spread and eggplant meze with pita. The homemade domas were fantastic- served with one of the best tzatziki on the island. The zucchini croquettes were so delicate and lightly battered that we really enjoyed them.
We also tried the octopus entree, tuna steak entree, and stuffed squid dish. Portions are very generous too. All of the seafood is so juicy and perfectly seasoned. The preparation of all dishes are perfection!
My only disdain is that if you sit in the partly enclosed section then you are being hotboxed by everyone’s cigarette smoke. As a non-smoker, this was particularly disgusting. I do understand that this likely a cultural thing but I’m afraid it really takes away from the experience. I had to step outside on multiple occasions during our first visit because we were situated in the far corner of the restaurant behind a large group. There was no air flow or circulation whatsoever and I honestly almost fainted because of the...
