Taverna Thalassa — Restaurant in Municipality of Nafplio

Stayed in Tolo for a week and this Taverna was our daily hang out. We rented the sun beds which are right on the water. Can’t beat sitting with your feet in the sand and water while having a drink. Then you get up and walk a few feet and sit down to eat.

I can’t say enough good things about George the owner. He took great care of my family and I and it made our day at the beach extremely enjoyable. A family run business and all the staff is really kind and friendly.

The food is great as well. The Greek salad was amazing. Best tomatoes we had in Tolo. All the home made style dishes like the stuffed vegetables, the soutzoukakia, the moussaka….all really delicious.

Awfull food and a high price for what we had. We ordered mixed grill for two persons for 20 €.

We had served some really dry meat, which had been grilled a long time ago and then reheated at least once. It seemed to be reused leftovers. On the top a few french fries. No vegetables at all - not even a single slice of tomato or lettuce.

At least the bread was fresh and the wine served chilled. And a nice view indeed.

We'll never return - this restaurant has earned LESS than one star. We recommend You NOT to eat...

Enyhén szólva is lehúzós a hely, vagyis inkább a férfi, aki mindent megtesz, hogy beülj. Először nagyon kedvesen és mézes mázosan invitál a napozóágyakhoz meg az étterembe, de amint a fizetésre kerül a sor, semmi sem úgy van, mint ahogyan korábban tájékoztatott minket. Nem pakoltunk le a napozóágyra, hanem először kérdeztük, hogy fogyasztás alapján fizetünk érte, vagy van fix ára? Ő azt mondta, hogy 15 euro ha NEM fogyasztunk, de ha veszünk valamit, akkor nyugodtan pakoljunk le és akkor nem kell fizetni, hanem a fogyasztással lényegében fizetünk. Nos, ennek a vége az volt, hogy felszámolta a 15 eurot is plusz a kaját és a kávét és mindent, majd még ő volt felháborodva, hogy nem ezt mondta. Kártyával nem lehetett fizetni, mert "elvileg" lefagyott és nem tudja újra indítani csak KP! Jeleztük, hogy nincs annyi készpénz nálunk ( akkor nem ülünk le, ...) és mérgesen mondta, hogy akkor megnézi mit tehet a terminállal. Érdekes módon utána már rendben volt a terminál is.. persze nem a teljes összeget ütötte be. Senkinek sem ajánlom! Kerülje el...
