Ducked into this place after wandering the town so long that we needed to sit… drawn in by the Mythos sign (incidentally secretly gluten intolerant/celiac safe for any searching for a drinkable beer in Greece!!), I was admittedly a little dubious as my husband asked to be seated in this restaurant that definitely puts on no heirs! A little fed up of fish after a week of several fine seafood meals (first world problems right?!), I was looking to have a dish based around meat and it turns out that this establishment was a fine choice indeed. Service was pretty prompt; after our giant beers were served we were given adequate time to choose our fare… After some deliberation, we ordered the mixed salad to share (we love Greek salad but by this time were craving the leafy greens that are staples for us back home!), the pork steak and fried potatoes for myself and my husband had the moussaka. When the man brought the two plates, one regular sized and the other a huge oval platter, he of course was about to give me the modestly portioned moussaka, but mine was this HUGE slab of pork on the bone with a good amount of golden chips..! It felt gluttonous but I just couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into it - I was not disappointed, as the meat was well seasoned and the chips crispy. The moussaka, as pictured elsewhere in this site, looked great and my husband was pleased with his choice - however he also got to try some of mine too as he chewed the meat still clinging to the bone and had a bunch of the chips I wish I could’ve eaten but couldn’t lol Pleasantly surprised and pleasantly full, the meal was also the cheapest we’ve had since being in Greece so wandered off back to the apartment very happy -...
Read moreWe were very surprised this place got so many good reviews. We are French and go to Greece every year (for the last 7 years) so we tried lots of Greek restaurants. I honestly think that unfortunately a lot of people go to mediocre restaurants all the time and don’t even know what is good or bad food anymore. The moussaka was the worst I’ve ever eaten in Greece, this was literally taken from a bigger tray, microwaved and they even put some cold shredded cheese on top to make it look homemade but who wants some cold industrial cheese on top of his mousaka… if you want to know if you’re in a good restaurant, take the mousaka. You will immediately know. We also took a mix meat platter with extra skewers, thinking this was a meat restaurant so it must be good. Sorry but again… no flavor, undercooked with soggy fries and bad sausage. Also quite expensive for the quantity. We’ve had amazing mousaka and mix platter at 8€ in 2024 in other restaurants. Please know this isn’t a good deal. Especially for this quality. I hate to leave bad reviews but this cannot honestly be...
Read moreIf you are looking for a good place to eat greek food with your family in Tolo, that's the place You are looking for. Right in the main road, the tsisor look like a simple taverna, but the quality of the food is really high. Fried chips, saganaki and fried zucchini are cooked at the right point ( and not overfried at all). The pasticcio is really delicate and tasty but the lamb kleftiko won everything with hands down. Delicious, not oily and with a strong taste of lamb that i wasn't having since long. Go for it. All this with 2 big glasses of wine ( full full and not the usual half). If We only wants find a down part are the flies due to the proximity with many trees in the backyard. Except this best choice for greek food at good price.Ah i forgot, they are really fast...
