Cactus Cafe Bar and more — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

DON'T GO! Worst beach bar in Naxos. Service was non existent. I alm6never write this negative review but OMG. The owners were just sitting around and had 1 family member a young girl doing everything. Cooking taking orders making drinks. It was horrible. Oh and 1 slice of turkey in a sandwich. WHO DOES THAT?

Yes the waitress asked me about my review. I said to her I had to walk into the restaurant 3 times to place and order or see what was taking so long. Was 3 over 3 hours and could barely get my drinks and food. If she was concerned about my post why wait till I was done...

We tried this place for breakfast and for evening drinks, and we were left wishing for more, unfortunately. The breakfast menu has a decent selection of savoury and sweet options. We found the Naxian omelette to be curiously bland, while the pancakes were dry. Service was very slow, with dishes coming out one at a time and with breaks in between.

Evening drinks were not much better. The cocktails we tried were not great, with mojitos having way too much sugar and not enough alcohol. Again, service was slow.

The location is stunning and the staff...

This a great place for breakfast and good coffee. Arrive early for a front row seat, and watch the activity in the small port, and enjoy a leisurely cappuccino with excellent yoghurt & granola. Alternatively, have one of the generous, freshly made omelettes. Their fresh squeezed orange juice (served with ice) is SO good on a hot summer morning. The business is run by one family, with Mum and Dad out front, and (English speaking) daughter in the kitchen. Well...
