Had a family breakfast here. Food was pretty good. It was the staff that are the big problem. We asked 3 times about us lounges pricing arrangement and got brushed off without response whilst eating breakfast because the staff (2 of them) needed to do other things (restaurant was quite empty). By the time we finished our meal and we’re paying for our 33€ breakfast we finally had our answer; the chairs in the back row are 30€ for a set, but we also needed to at least eat lunch in the establishment (with a total cost of more then 30€ from the menu). So in other words, our breakfast didn’t count to the 30€. We’d need to spend at least another 60€ just to sit on some sun lounges. Further, the person who appeared to be the head Mgr must have been tired of listening to our son so presented some paper with Liatero written on it, and said if my son can write it he’ll give him a prize. My son completed this, but the guy obviously didn’t want to hear any whining from a child and hence this challenge was presented, because he never came back to see whether it was done or offered any such ‘prize’. As far as I’m concerned that’s just a real loser attitude and appeared deliberate just to ‘shut him up’. Plenty of other higher quality establishments here from people that deserve the success and €€ that come with being quality people producing quality food...

Probably, My mistake was- ordering risotto in Greece, however… Seafood risotto, was pure overcooked tomato porridge, no taste, undersalted, no onion or garlic used in the cooking, shrimps were not shelled, not slit through so I could at least open them easily in the dish.. absolute disaster. There were three thin slices of octopus, several mussels, which were ok. I had to ask for some grated cheese to throw on top just to add some taste to it (which we were later charged for) When waiter collected our plates where I had 60% of the dish left, she didn’t even bother to ask how was the meal, ok fine. We didn’t complain, paid, and in a friendly conversation with a waiter after, just mentioned that the risotto was quite bad in our opinion, and we expected a bit more taste and quality of a seafood dish being on an island… Long story short, in the end we heard from waiter that they are selling hundreds of these risottos per day and no one even said it was bad, and all is amazing basically. He also added , he never was asked for any cheese for this dish, and how surprised he was. I’d maybe not even written this review if he didnt make it sound like a made up story from us in the end. Not a great...

There are places you don’t just visit for food, but to create memories. Liatero in Agia Anna is exactly that.

Your table is almost touching the sand, with the sea stretching out in front of you, as if inviting you to stay forever. The food is not just delicious – it’s made with love, with flavors that take you back to childhood summers, when everything was simpler and more authentic.

Every dish is crafted with fresh, local ingredients from Naxos, carrying both the saltiness of the sea and the warmth of true Greek hospitality. It’s not only about the meal on your plate – it’s about the feeling of belonging, as if you’ve been welcomed into a home by the waves.

Liatero is not just a restaurant; it’s a journey of the heart, a piece of Naxos that stays with you long after the last glass of wine.

🌅 If you want to feel what summer in the Aegean truly means, sit at that table by the sea and let Liatero...

An absolute gem of a beachfront restaurant! We had the most magical dining experience here eating with our toes in the sand, under the stars, surrounded by a gorgeous evening vibe. The cute little table lamps added such a cosy touch. The menu is fantastic, with some truly fabulous vegetarian options (a rare find!) and honestly, the food was next level delicious. Every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented so good we had to come back a second time… and it was just as incredible. The vegetarian risotto and the sea bream were to die for. Despite always being ridiculously busy, the staff were fun, friendly, and full of energy. Hats off to the chef, what a talent! One of those places you’ll be dreaming about long after the holiday ends.

Undeniably great location but not happy about: 1. Being charged for water I didn’t order, placed on my table and opened without even asking us if we wanted it 2. Being charged for 2 baskets of bread - we only received 1, and most places here don’t charge for bread 3. Aperol spritz is only €5 at happy hour which is cheap, but they are flat and very strong so we had to buy extra champagne to make it have the usual amount of “spritz” Food was honestly lukewarm and not hot as expected, but tasty nonetheless and great location in the sand with friendly staff - but being charged the wrong amount and having sneaky extras added on is an unfortunate error or way to serve customers
