We went to Santana beach bar our first day in Naxos. The first time at Santana we sat in the 3rd row because apparently the first two rows were “reserved.” Meaning you had to be VIP to sit there wearing a Rolex or Louis Vuitton purse. However, the first two rows were basically empty. They look at you like you are the bottom of the barrel. Let me tell you, you cannot judge someone based on what they are wearing. Besides this we tried to brush it off. On another day however, no one I mean no one, was there and all the seats were “reserved.” Because there was going to be a beach party which happens every Sunday. What’s really funny, after we left and coming back from Saint Prokopios the sun beds were completely empty and there was a woman standing outside browsing for acceptable people to get sun beds. There was no beach party and we were told that if we wanted to stay at Santana we would have to sit all the way in the back at the bar and if there would be a seat available they would let us know. The management and staff are disrespectful and very judgmental. I will not recommend this place to anyone. There are so many other friendlier places to go to than this one. That accept you the way you are not based on...
Read moreGreat vibe. But management are clueless. The two managers on the floor spent most of their time dancing at the bar and watching the staff work or standing with 4 other staff members at the entrance. What for I don’t know. I Also Don’t understand why floor staff aren’t able to do multiple jobs. Waited to order lunch, nobody came for a while so we asked a girl who told us to wait for the girl who takes orders as she only refills our glasses at the table. After the meal we Waited 15 minutes for our bill at the end and when we asked the same waiter again he had to go and get the girl in charge of issuing the bill. Dont understand why there isn’t a system where a waiter can just go and print the bill for the table, just like every other restaurant in the world. Food was very tasty but I ordered the chicken bao bun which was more like a cabbage bao bun with a sprinkle of chicken on the top. Comical really. The managers on the floor are quite clearly out of their depth and should be doing more to make the dining experience better. Change starts at the top. Bad service is not the fault of the staff if there are 2 managers not doing their jobs, based on other reviews I’m not the only one who...
Read moreI didn’t stay at the hotel but next time probably will. We kept going back there to hang out for a few reasons: clean facilities great beach spot and nice chairs. Yes it costs a bit more than other places but 10-20 extra euros for two isn’t an issue when it’s yours for the whole day. good music. It’s a whole vibe. Basically older music that brings in the nostalgia with modern beats. Maybe not for everyone but definitely for us. service is very good. We somehow ended up with Christos in our section all 3 days and he was on top of it. You open the menu, and not too soon after you close it he’s there to take your order. food was good. Can’t speak to dinner service or more fuller meals since we went there for the day to swim, sunbathe, and chill. So we weren’t eating eating. management staff were super nice and friendly. We didn’t plan much and you do need to reserve spots. They were accommodating and worked with us where we took a bean bag until a beach bed would open up if there were none available.
I read the other reviews before writing this. It looks like they had a number of issues last year but I saw none of those...
