Sergiáni — Restaurant in Municipality of Naxos and the Lesser Cyclades

Had dinner first dinner, was perfect, food authentic and lady with curly hair was lovely. Came again and service was terrible, another lady serviced us and raised her voice that we had our own water bottle for other customers to hear, ruined the night and wanted to leave before getting our food. Have been to many similar chill restaurants compared to more upscale restaurant over the last 6weeks and never been spoken to like that, is not a fine dining restaurant. Would have been happy To purchase a bottle but raised her voice before even letting us say anything and was disgusted with how we were treated. Tables getting just a gyro worth 10euros and we had spent 40euros but treated us rudely because we didn’t purchase a water. On our walk to the beach, we wanted to get a quick bite. We sat in the covered outdoors at Sergiani because the food on the sign looked great and prices were fair too. It was a beautiful homey feel and attentive service. The owner was humorous and energetic.. a lot of locals seemed to stop by and say hello to him. The food was awesome! The kebab gyro was one of the best we ever tried. I got the falafel which was tasty but nothing compared to the tender meat to sauce and salad ratio inside the kebab one! Ordered some souvlaki and gyros to go. Sat with the owner and had some Ouzo while we waited as well. The owner is awesome! The atmosphere was great, he seems to be the local mayor, several people are cars stopped to chat with him! When we ate back at our hotel we fell in love. The pork is to die for. So moist, fresh, and tasty. The gyro was layered perfectly with a great tzaziki! We are going back again tonight it was so good!
