COFFEE WAVES — Restaurant in Municipality of Nea Propontida

We arrived on the beach at 16:30 on an average busy day and chose the sun beds ourselves as they were free and full of sand like no one is looking after them. There was no menu attached on the pole of the umbrella we sat, only in a few of other ones, occupied by other people. After approximately 50 mins and as two of us were swimming, a rude waitress came to our third friend that was sitting on a chair to ask in a demanding manner speaking in Greek (with a foreign/Balcan accent) to pay her 28 euros for four people as we occupy four items, two sun beds, a chair and a small plastic table by the umbrella. Our friend said we are only three and she said how do I know that, as everyone is trying to make fool of us and said that we all must pre pay 7 euros per person as per the sign which is below and doesn’t mention this or similar and then order a drink. She carried on repeating herself that she is not our slave and this is how this business works. We just asked for the menu that she refused to bring and she said that we have coffee, tea, beer, what do you want. We insisted to see the menu that took her another 10-15 mins to bring and kept on repeating and insisting that we are rude and inappropriate in our behaviour. We asked to see the person in charge and the official details of this business as she says you may bring the police if you like but I don’t tell you the details. Caution with this bar because you can find your stuff removed from the sunbeds you have paid for. All beach bars in Nea Kalikratia provide sunbeds the customer can use the whole day for certain price. This beach bar is an exception. We paid for our sunbeds and drinks but our towels were removed while we were having lunch in the same bar. We returned after 30 min just to see that our sundbeds were taken by other people and our stuff displaced, although there were plenty free sunbeds. The explanation by the waiter was that they thought we left 😂( and we left our stuff, yeah right) and when i wanted to talk with the responsible person, the bartender was identified as the manager there :). His reply was - that is our policy… i asked what if we were swimming for 30 min, would they remove our towels ? Then you have silence, no answer. In general, very infantile behavior of the staff and ,,the manager’’ The waiter gave our sunbeds to his friends.Instead of apologies they find ridiculous excuses and claim that is their policy and offer another sunbeds (if that is the policy why are you offering another sunbeds?)All other beach bars in Nea Kalikratia are great...

Φτάσαμε γύρω στις 4 το μεσημέρι 3 άτομα και καθίσαμε μόνοι μας στην δεύτερη σειρά όπου βρήκαμε άδειες 3 ξαπλώστρες και μία καρέκλα σκηνοθέτη. Μετά από 40 λεπτά δεν είχε έρθει κάποιος για παραγγελία, ούτε για να καθαρίσει το τραπέζι από τα πράγματα των προηγούμενων, και οι 2 της παρέας μπήκαν στη θάλασσα. Εμφανίστηκε μία σερβιτορα, της λεω μπορώ να παραγγείλω έναν καφέ και αγενέστατα μου απαντάει ¨28 ευρώ είστε 4 άτομα!¨ Είμαστε 3 της απαντάω και οι 2 θα παραγγείλουν μόλις βγουν από την θάλασσα! Όχι πρέπει να προπληρώσεις την παραγγελία και για τους άλλους και βλέπω καταλαμβάνετε χώρο για 4, και θέλετε να μας κοροϊδέψετε όπως κάνουν πολλοί!!! Μα τι να προπληρώσω για τους άλλους την στιγμή που δεν ξέρω τι θα παραγγείλουν, δεν υπάρχει κατάλογος, αλλά ούτε και ενημέρωση για ελάχιστη κατανάλωση και προπληρωμή ξαπλώστρας, απλά ότι με την παραγγελία έχετε δωρεάν ξαπλώστρα! ¨ Έτσι κάνουμε εμείς εδώ και εσείς δεν θέλετε να πληρώσετε και πάτε να μας κοροϊδέψετε¨!

Όταν βγήκαν και οι υπόλοιποι 2 της παρέας και της ζητήσαμε κατάλογο για να παραγγείλουν (τα ήδη προπληρωμένα 7 ευρω το ατόμο!) απάντησε να πατε να βρείτε κατάλογο από άλλες ξαπλώστρες, εγώ δεν είμαι η δούλα σας!!! Και να φωνάζει μπροστά σε όλον τον κόσμο, άμα δεν θέλετε να φύγετε, δεν σας φέραμε εμείς στο μαγαζί!

Αν η επιχείρηση επιλέγει να απασχολεί ένα τέτοιο αγενέστατο άτομο, με παντελή έλλειψη βασικών κανόνων συμπεριφοράς είναι δικό του πρόβλημα, όπως κι αν υπάρχουν πελάτες που όπως είπαν τους κοροϊδεύουν. Όμως δεν έχουν κανένα δικαίωμα να επιτίθενται φραστικά στους πελάτες και να τους προσβάλλουν φωνάζοντας μπροστα σε όλους ότι δεν θέλετε να πληρώσετε (τα ήδη προπληρωμένα) και προσπαθείτε να μας...
