Elia Pool Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

Me and my family were welcomed into this pool bar in an horrible manner, we sat and took a seat and was ready to order after a worker setting out our table for us, we were then demanded to move table by the man due to another family just walking in 15 minutes after us, when we were asked for our order I then politely asked for the WiFi password as it is advertised on the front sign that the WiFi is “Free”, the man then demanded us to order drinks before giving us the WiFi password, me and my family are all mixed race keep in mind before reading this, we then ordered our food and it took 45minutes to be served, once the food arrived we realised that his tone of voice was completely different and more accepting to other people than us, he asked them how they preferred their food yet we did not have a single choice, the burger was FILLED with grease, the pizza was still FROZEN and the sandwich came with a PINCH amount of salad, yet alone he OVERCHARGED us and was EXTREMELY rude to us, This man made me and my family feel extremely unwelcome and like we were NOT MEANT TO BE THERE, after all of this me and my family asked the man politely to order us a taxi to Kassiópi, I then heard the man mention that we were “Albanians” to the other side of the phone call, he then said to us that he knows NO other taxi services and they ALL come from the airport and we have NO way of getting home, so we then left the place and he repeated himself by shouting “BYE BYE” in an extremely rude manner to me, THIS MAN tried to make a whole scene and embarrass my family, after we left we went to a 5 star hotel and was ordered a taxi within seconds of entering and asking, the taxi then arrived in 2 minutes, if you are black or Asian, DO NOT COME HERE, it is a horrible experience and me and my family feel deeply violated and...

Was very rudely welcomed into this place and asked to move tables, waited over 40 minutes for food and was treated differently to other guests due to skin colour, when asking for wifi password we were demanded to order drinks first. Overcharged as well. Not a very nice man at all. Pizza was frozen, burger was covered in grease, little amount of salad, was not asked about any preferences or condiments, yet was available for others. Asked for a taxi to be ordered and this man caused a scene and said he only had airport numbers, then we walked into a 5 star hotel and within 3 calls a taxi was ready. Kalami just wouldn't be right without Elia Bar. We have stayed in Dimitri and Frosso appartments (3x different visits) and each time been welcomed by Eric and Dorina.

We spent so much time by the pool with easy access to soft and alcoholic drinks, crepes, salads, 'bigger' food, ice creams. I love the pork gyros! Plenty of choice for kids too.

I've not given a 'spend per person' because we just chalked it up until the end. Approx €100 per person covered an evening meal, large-ish lunch and endless visits to the bar...
