I read in the "find me glutenfree app" and in a review here that they had gluten free bread and pasta and that cross contamination wasn't a problem. After the first time we went for dinner, we decided to come back most of the time during our holidays. A total of 5 times. As a celiac, I am very thankful when a restaurant takes it seriously and more grateful if I can enjoy a variety of dishes without risk. We also noticed that we were not the only ones being regulars at the restaurant, which was also a great sign and proof of their quality food and service. If we come back to Corfu, we will try to do the same and go to Faros for lunch or dinner. Efcharistó! In the photos you can see the garlic bread (that I ordered four times haha) and the vine leaves as a starter. And then the grilled octopus, the grilled calamari, the chicken gyros and the lam exchotiko (I ordered this...
Read moreA really excellent restaurant - we went back 4 more times after dining out in a couple of other places and it was clear that many of the patrons here were also repeat visitors. The food is top quality, the location just a few metres from the sea with views across the straits to the Albanian mountains as well as the chance to catch the sunset in the other direction. The management and staff are also very friendly and totally professional when dealing with my partner's coeliac (gluten allergy) condition.
Pictured: "spicy village sausage" starter, complementary Kumquat shots (we also tried Masticha, Limoncello), Grilled Sea Bream / Whole grilled Kalamari, Stuffed Vine Leaves / Onion Rings starter, Saganaki starter, Lamb Chops with homemade skin-on fries, Banana split, Gyros with the same fries.
Thank you to everyone at Faros, it was a real highlight of our...

We went to this restaurant every night when we visited in August. The family who run it, along with all their staff were amazing. So kind and welcoming. Fanis, Maria, Theo and Adonis were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble for them. My 9 year old grandson Aidan loved them all, particularly Fanis and Theo who were so kind to him and made him feel special. Although we ate there every night for the week, there were loads of dishes to try so we never got bored. The food was excellent. The sunsets that can be seen from the restaurant were some of the best I have ever seen. I wish we could give this restaurant a 1,000 star rating. We have already booked to return to Acharavi next August and we will definitely be eating at Faros a lot!!! Thank you everyone for making our holiday even more...
