Last night we were unlucky to get into this restaurant, and we were quite disappointed. Since this is my 4th vacation on Corfu, I knew that my complaints were justified. First of all, the staff was rude, and when we made comments or asked questions, all we got in response was "ok!" before being directed to the cashier to pay. Secondly, the portions were very small, and the prices were 2-6 euros higher per dish compared to other places. We're staying in Acharavi, and here there are several tavernas where prices are slightly lower, the portions are bigger, and the food is much tastier (Petra, George, Zephyros, and others). For example, at Navigator, the grilled shrimp dish had only 4 shrimp, while other tavernas usually serve 6. It came with French fries and a meager salad consisting of one slice of tomato, two pieces of cucumber, and some cabbage. In other places, we were served natural baked potatoes, fresh salads with spinach, arugula, and other greens, as well as hummus - and the portions were much larger. Also, it seemed like the calamari was frozen from a store and just fried. We mentioned all of this, and we were rudely called to the cashier without any proper explanation. Read moreUnfortunately, parts of the Pork Slovaki was completely uncooked, completely raw, as you can see in the photo. Expecting a bad tummy tomorrow 😔 When I complained, they said that the beef was medium (which I totally accepted of course), they also said that the chicken can turn a little red from the red pepper, which again was totally fine. But there was absolutely NO EXCUSE for the pork to be pink! Totally unacceptable, a huge cause of food poisoning I am guessing they were hoping that they alcohol and the poor lighting were going to cover up such a mistake... So I cannot recommend at all, despite the lovely surroundings, the beautiful sunset. If they had a thing a little bit more accepting of the mistake, which of course was genuine, than this review may not have been so damning... More worrying was the fact that they had removed the raw pork from the plate when they came to discuss it with me, oh dear, what a mistake! Mind you I am sure that people may not see this review, or think that it is a one off and forgive them, but for this customer, I will not be back. Anyways, I do not believe asking to stay all togheter is a disrespectful request, considering that other tables were joined. Later edit: My friend, you are like a parrot that repeats the same thing over and over again. Why are you feeding me these lies anyway? There was no problem with entering the restaurant. Maybe you forgot you prepared a 14 people table inside, but your problem was we wanted to eat on the terrace. That was your trigger actually. You had almost thhe whole terrace empty, but you didn’t want to serve us there because it was “inconvenient” for the waiters. Like that is the primary thing in a restaurant.
