Filaraki Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

An authentic traditional family run Greek grill house where they take pride in serving top quality charcoal grilled meats. On our most recent trip to the area we visited another three grill houses in the area and found Filaraki Restaurant to be the best by a long shot! I had a steak which was huge, juicy and very, very tasty. My wife had kondosouvli which was excellent. One of my boys wanted to also have a steak but the owner explained that it might be too much for a little boy (he could have not said a thing and just made his money) and suggested he try something else. He had a portion of gyros which he loved. Our other son had souvlaki on wooden skewers which he not only found fun to eat but also delicious. The Greek salad was plentiful with juicy red tomatoes, crunchy cucumber and peppers and a large chunk of feta cheese, really delicious! Even the boys tucked in. The chips were very obviously not of the frozen variety and also excellent. We would highly recommend this place especially if you’re with children. Went to this restaurant twice during our visit to Corfu. We have travelled far from Canada. 2nd visit - extremely poor service. The female server was in a rush, spilled my Sprite drink on me, soaking my top and pants (including my groin and thigh area as if I just went swimming) without a proper apology. Only left some paper towels, the spill and mess left on the table so the flies could easily access it. I HAD to ask for another set of cutlery since it was wet from the incident and DID NOT even refill my drink when she spilled it herself. Upon paying for the bill when asked if we enjoyed our meal, we said NO because of the incident. The same female server DOES NOT acknowledge and WALKS AWAY when we said there was no apology made. Updated for 2022 (not 2021) Owner was smilier this year and the woman who served us is fab! Very smiley, friendly and complimentary aha. Food is as delicious as ever and still mega prices! My only downside was eating when the mosquitos are out as they did frequent the place year, although sitting on the right side (of the entrance) was better!
