Being on holiday and deciding to go out for an evening meal the temptation is always to walk past the first couple of places you see, like you're almost being lazy not walking further to find somewhere else.

Stupidly we've done this for nearly a week, walking past this wonderful little place in order to end up somewhere inferior, and more expensive, instead.

We stopped here last night and had a magnificent bowl of plump mussels each which came in a lovely broth, along with some home made chipped potatoes and a small carafe of red wine. We had some 'just from the oven' orange cake and ice cream for dessert -yum - plus a free Melon-cello each (also yum) at the end, on the house. This was some of the nicest food we've had on the island and the service was great too, plus the bill came in at just under £40. Unbelievable value.

Why oh why did we walk past this place for five days when we should have been walking in, don't make the...

I rarely write reviews – it really has to be either amazing or terrible. And this… was absolutely amazing.

During our 7-day stay, this restaurant became our daily highlight. Miltos, the owner, greeted us every time with a warm smile and genuine hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious, and the fish always tasted fresh. We especially loved the octopus and mussels – perfectly cooked and well-seasoned.

After dinner, we usually had the orange cake or baklava. If you visit, you must try them! Both are super juicy and not as overly sweet as typical Turkish desserts – which we appreciated.

The overall atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The restaurant is beautifully decorated in a vintage, stylish way – it truly helped us relax and feel at home.

And on Saturdays, they even have live music – a perfect way to end the evening! Thank you for the one of our favorite memories...

Lovely restaurant, lovely quality of food, and very fresh, but not outstanding. For our taste, too salty. But others may love this. I think garlic salt rather than garlic cloves were used. But over all a nice evening and the waiter was very attentive. We’d try different dishes, if we returned. (We had, garlic bread, aubergines starter, mushrooms filled with garlic butter starter. Moussaka (was lovely) and beef with onions. (On the salty side. But great quality of beef) mains.
