Lekkas family taverna and bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

I never leave reviews but I feel bad for the next people that take the name and reviews of this place seriously. I won’t comment on the appearance because to which its own, but any European place that serves food like that did, should not be allowed to serve food. Fresh produce like tomatoes and cucumbers looked stale; plates were dirty (disgustingly dirty, one plate had what looked like crusty tomato sauce at the bottom, seemed like just the surface was wiped clean before being served, and I have no clue how the lady did not notice it while serving); the sardines looked and tasted like they were refried for the 50th time, they were inedible; expect for the omelette that my boyfriend ordered, we were definitely eating leftovers! Friendly advice to the owners: maybe just stick to serving drinks. We should have honestly reported this place if there is anything like a Consumer Protection / Food Control entitity in Corfu.

Long story short: don’t ruin your vacation by going to eat here, greek food is the best and there are so many other good places...

This was taken at Lekkas family taverna and bar just over a week ago- a lovely memory from a quirky, authentic and quality spot in Kassiopi. The owner, Akis, who runs the bar/restaurant with his family came to our rescue on our first evening, arriving late in the evening to Frossini gardens. Very hungry, we asked if they did food- he said they had just closed the restaurant but called his Dad to re-open so we could have some food. It did not disappoint and we continued to go back numerous times during our 12 night stay. It was a highlight of our time!! We laughed, ate very authentic, tasty and homemade food and felt very quickly at home. When we return we will defiantly be back for a gyros and drink…....

We ordered a Sofrito. Plate came with only French fries and no rice. So I asked for rice. Waitress said I didn’t say so. So they just assumed french fries. I told her this is my 4th time ordering Sofrito and there’s always rice. Told her we need to find a solution because I would like rice. She said she would check, then told me she can’t give me rice because I didn’t say so. I told her how hard was it to ask me if I wanted rice or French fries? She said she can’t and its too busy (there was only one other table besides us) And then I said I won’t pay for the sofrito without rice.
