7 Grill Gyros & Souvlaki — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

I have been visiting Number 7 Grill Gyros in Kassiopi for more than two decades, and I feel compelled to write this after seeing an unfair review recently. I have known Christos, the owner, personally since 2003, when he went out of his way to help me organize medical care for my nephew. That moment showed me what kind of person he is – someone who cares deeply about people and never hesitates to help when someone is in need.

Over the years, I’ve spent countless evenings at his restaurant, and there have always been cats strolling around, relaxing under the tables, and sometimes even waiting for a little treat. Christos has a soft spot for them. The cats love being there because they know they are safe and welcome, just like the customers.

It breaks my heart to read claims that are so far from the truth. The Christos I know – and the Christos many in Kassiopi know – would never harm an animal or show aggression to anyone. For over 20 years, he has built his reputation on kindness, respect, and a genuine love for both people and animals.

I honestly can’t wait for September to come so I can visit Kassiopi again, sit at Number 7 Grill, enjoy a great meal, and catch up with my friend Christos. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My experience at this restaurant was beyond disappointing—it was downright humiliating. After spending a day enjoying the island, I came in wearing a swimsuit, only to be told I couldn’t use the bathroom because of it. Seriously? What kind of place denies a customer access to basic facilities?

The staff didn’t just refuse—they made me feel incredibly awkward, as if I’d done something wrong by daring to show up in swimwear. Newsflash: this is an island, not a stuffy fine dining establishment in the city. The way they treated me was completely uncalled for and left a sour taste in my mouth.

Honestly, if you’re on this island and looking for a place to eat, I’d recommend you take your business elsewhere—somewhere that doesn’t judge you for dressing appropriately for the beach. Avoid this place...

We were paying for our lower-than-average-meal at 7 Grill Gyros when we eye-witnesed THE COOK KICKING A KITTEN that was there!!! An Italian man stood up and asked the cook why did he do that and then THE COOK PUSHED THE MAN who fall on the ground!!! That was unbelievable and thoroughly unacceptable! We were deeply disgusted by the cook's attitude both towards the poor kitten and that Italian man! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF MR. COOK! WE AND OUR FRIENDS WILL NEVER PAY A VISIT AT YOUR PLACE AGAIN!
