Amazing beach.. our favorite in kassiopi for its crystal clear aqua water, quite sheltered position and views to saranda Albania opposite looking so close! Saranda is also worth a holiday along with beautiful ksamil! An easy walk up hill from the harbour then down a slope. Cafe kastro at the top has toilets and bar etc. Very safe though current is very mild although the water shelves off deeply within a few metres. Today the water was absolutely calm maybe the wind was from the south. We really enjoyed snorkeling here could see lots of silver fish ..20 or more at a time. We enjoyed feeding the fish bits of bread and popcorn and watching them jump for it not leaving any mess behind of course. And no hooks on our bread to kill the lovely creatures. No other sealing and sea floor is very clean. We saw a small octopus. I guess most of it is caught in nets and by hooks... Beds available about 3 euros each. Sun goes down behind the hill but gives bratislava light over the hills of Albania in...

“Pebble stone” beaches are better than sand. There, I said it.

My family and I visited in August on a weekday. We arrived late, about noon. Our collective opinion is that Bataria is well worth a trip. It exceeded our expectations in spite of a few difficulties.

The beach faces the Mediterranean Sea with lovely views of coastal mountains across the way. The water is clear and the surf gentle. The beach proper is hemmed in with large rocks that serve as tiny cliff-jumping platforms on the left and elevated sunbathing spots on the right.

My daughter and I enjoyed exploring the rocks and splashing around in the water. The sea bottom drops off quickly. So, mind those young children.

There is food nearby, which we found tasty, though served at... well... a European pace.

Parking can be a real challenge if you arrive as late as we did. I ended up dropping my family at the beach and taking the car to another beach for parking. The walk back was scenic and easy, but it was a good 15 minutes in high...

Probably the best beach on Corfu! We have visited a lot of them, but this one is really breathtaking! Crystal clear water, pebble beach. The beach itself is not very big, but there are a lot of "sub-beaches" around: either pebble ones or you can find a spot on a flat rock to sunbath and go to water. The water was quite warm and I spent quite a lot of time snorkelling without feeling cold. A lot of fish and interesting thins at the bottom. The water get deep really quick, so I would not advice this beach for the small children. However, just around corner you can find a"sub-beach" with shallower water. Three is also a hill you can go to walk in a "min-olive grove" with great views to Albania and sea. There are cafes just near the beach with very reasonable prices. Parking a car can be a problem because one near the beach is quite small, but you can park behind Kastro bar for free (see photo of the the entrance, just behind the bar). So, I wish we visited this beach before, it is...

The best beach in the northern part of Corfu. I visited 8-10 beaches during my 2 weeks here and drove to many spots. Bataria stands out for their pristine and crystal clear water. Large flat boulders are surprisingly comfortable for throwing a beach mat or towel on. You’ll need your aqua shoes, Beach is mostly 2 inch sized rocks to small pebbles as you get into the shoreline. Small spit of land between two large boulders that fit 3-4 people that is sandy. The rest will get pretty packed. Parking spots available between this and the connected. Area has 3 small rocky beaches but this is really the best to spend half a day at. Not far from a cafe as well with bathrooms some 20 steps up behind the restaurant. This is also for strong swimmers like the two other beaches since the shallow part of the water lasts only about 5 feet before it drops quite deep and the large rocks underfoot are very uneven so that can pose a challenge for new swimmers or younger swimmers.
