The place seemed really nice, food was presented well, unfortunately though I got food poisoning after eating at Panorama restaurant. I am pretty sure it's of the swardfish souvlaki as that is the only meal which was different to what my husband ate. I have contacted the restaurant as the stomach sickness has really upset my holiday and left me unable to look after my small babies for a while. The manager at first seemed sympathetic on email saying that the refund is the least they could do, offering a trip to doctors etc..I only saw the emails late at night which is why I didn't bother with doctor visit. However when we spoke on the phone he was very agumentative and was refusing to accept any responsibility, being overly confident that the fish was cooked well and suggesting that the combination of main and dessert were at issue. At first I thought maybe this was the case but then I remembered that last time I felt so sick was after food poisoning in Vietnam 6 years ago... Which I said to the manager. Again he'd argue back not accepting any fault. I eat out regularly and have not had such illness like I said since eating on streets in Vietnam. Such a shame that the manager would not.underatand the idea of hospitality..I have spent circa £100 for a meal that costed me 48 hours...
Read moreA short ride from Arillas up the winding hillside along the Corfu coast, Panorama is if nothing else, the most aptly named eatery on the island. The views are a picture postcard in all directions. Small and not so small, villas are set amongst the forest of olive groves and Cyprus trees that cover the rugged rocks leading down to turquoise waters. Small fishing boats quietly meander between the cove and Dragon Island across the bay. The decor is clean and sharp. all white tables and chairs create a neutral canvas for the extraordinary vistas beyond. We were the first customers of the day and were greeted warmly and graciously by the manager who took our orders personally. The usual bread, olives etc were brought and were fresh and crunchy. we ordered the Ionian Salad to share, and the Chicken Souvlaki ( in order to compare this staple with other restaurants nearby). We were not disappointed. The Chicken was cooked to perfection - moist, tender and full of flavour, by far the best I have had in Corfu. The Ionian Salad was a revelation. A perfectly dressed selection of crisp fresh greens, nuts, local fig and feta cheese. We finished our meal out on the sun drenched terrace with a fresh mint tea. A delightful experience in all departments. Decor, location, service and food. Highly...
Read morethe worst experience ever. I have been to many countries, nowhere have I been treated like this. we arrived at the restaurant, they had 5 free tables and they refused to receive us, invoking the fact that "the chef has calculated the portions". I asked if we could serve a coffee, we were not allowed. I was here for the good reviews from Google Maps but I personally do not recommend this restaurant, the kindness of the staff does not exist and I think access is based on ethnic criteria, otherwise I cannot explain their racism.
As for what you comment down bellow, you are lying to the customers with this free comment. When I arrived, this was the attitude of the staff. We were not given these explanations mentioned above by you. We were waiting for 30 minutes and there were 5 free tables. the staff looked at us with disdain, asked us what country we were from and they looked at us with disgust. So, you can apologize through comments as much as you want. You treated us with contempt and racism. You have so many reviews in this sense below. How do you explain that two restaurants above we were welcomed to the table? same time, same sunset? you have an outdated mentality and you don't care...
