I have stayed at many hotels, but I rarely leave reviews. However, this hotel is one of the few that truly made me feel at ease and completely comfortable. We arrived very late—almost 11 p.m.—but I called the hotel, and the host kindly waited for us to check in. He told us that we would meet his brother in the morning, and that they look very much alike. The next morning, we opened the window and were absolutely stunned by the view: the deep blue sea, rolling mountains, dazzling sunshine, and an overwhelming sense of peace and beauty. The garden was filled with fragrant flowers and lush trees, creating an enchanting atmosphere. The hotel was impeccably clean. Every day brought small but delightful surprises—handwritten notes, fresh greenery, beautifully folded towels, and the warm smiles of everyone we encountered. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and we enjoyed it while gazing out at the breathtaking scenery. This is a family-run guesthouse, and the entire family made us feel genuinely welcome. In the evenings, we watched the sunset, and the restaurant served delicious meals. We were even treated to ice cream—just one of many thoughtful touches that made our stay so special. The hosts and staff were all incredibly warm and friendly. Their matching uniforms gave a very professional impression, yet the atmosphere was relaxed and full of authentic Greek charm. I felt truly cared for, and it was easy to unwind and enjoy every moment of my stay. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. I had a truly memorable holiday here, and I will definitely...
Read moreThe best experience we've had anywhere in Greece in the last 10 years. We stayed at Porto Timoni for 8 nights in July 2022. The reservation went as smoothly as it possibly could. The Apartments and Restaurant are situated on a cliff (about 180m above the Gulf of Saint George and close to Porto Timoni beach) in the village of Afionas and as soon as you get there, the view takes your breath away. I have never seen a better view from a restaurant in my life in any country I have visited. The room was clean and the furniture was pretty new. The bathroom had a walk-in shower, which is always nice. The highlight of the room was the balcony, which offers the same view as the restaurant. The restaurant was the best we found on the island and we tried a lot of places, because we are very interested in local cuisine. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. They use local produce and have a lot of local specialties (the octopus was amazing). The staff is the highlight of this place - it's a family business and it shows. They are friendly, interested in everyone, they pay great attention to details and I must give a special kudos to one of the servers who is doing a better job that waiters in high end restaurants. He is truly Michelin level, which was amazing to find in a remote place in Corfu (sadly, I do not know his name). Overall, this place left an amazing impression and we will surely return in the future, as should you.
PS: We were even able to rent a car directly at the location and...
Read moreVery good restaurant with kind and polite staff, plus free parking. Ignore the parking signs before you reach this place because you'll needlessly waste your money. The view here is simply stunning, probably the best we had while having lunch/dinner so be sure to try and catch a table by the edge to enjoy it while eating. We served the saganaki shrimps for starters (which actually contained the small round shrimps, plus one king prawn). It was made just right, with the creamy sauce containing feta cheese. Many restaurants in Corfu say shrimps on their menu and you end up with the more bigger prawns, but here the saganaki is made with actual shrimps. For the main courses we had the grilled sardines and grilled sea bream (aka dorada). They were both cooked properly and very delicious. The deserts were the orange pie and the baklava, each served with a scoop of ice cream. They were both very good, and it was obvious they were made by them, not purchased commercially.
So yes, we definitely recommend coming here for the amazing view and good food. It is also a hotel with rooms for rent, but we did not stay here, unfortunately. Had we known about it before booking something else, probably we would have changed our minds and book...
