RESTAURANT Evdemon — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

I was really disappointed with this restaurant. The view is astonishing, and the food is nice, but nothing more than that. Another reviewer said it felt like they were visiting someone's home, and that's true, but not in a good way. The owners spent a LOT of time speaking to one of the other tables, and more or less ignoring the other two occupied tables. It felt like a dinner party where we were the guests that they'd hoped wouldn't turn up. In addition, service was really, really slow, we had to ask for a drinks menu, yadda, yadda. The whole experience just felt a bit lazy and amateurish.

The killer for me was the moment when the sun set, and everyone went out on to the balcony for photographs. Everyone wants to get a photo of their family/group, so you end up asking someone else to take a photo of your family, and vice versa. It's all a bit fraught as everyone wants that amazing photo and there's really not a lot of time. And where were the owners? Clearing tables, or chatting to their favourite guests. For those magical 2 or 3 minutes, they should be looking after everyone, and helping people get that...

We randomly found this place looking for a restaurant in Afionas where we could have a nice dinner and a view of the sunset. We chose it because of the commentaries that if has and it was definitely a good choice.

Just as someone else said before, it feels like being at a friends’ house. The menu is short, but the products are local and you can tell it by the flavour. The service was quick and they treated us very kindly, so it made us feel really confort. And the view of the Sunset from there is just astonishingly beautiful. We liked it so much the first time, that we booked another table two days later. The second time they reserved us the table with the best sight, it was a lovely detail. Both experiences were perfect.

Both, Giannis and Elia were nice with all their guests, including us, and you can tell that because most of them were people who seemed usual customers. You should book a table before going, because there are a few of them and I think they calculate the amount of fresh food that they have available that day, that’s why the menu can change a daily.

We would definitely come back whenever...

It's the best place in the island. Literally. The place itself is not shouting for itself if you just pass by, so I hope somebody takes recommendations seriously. There is no fix menu! But dont be afraid of it. From what you can pick will probably be the best of what you choose from. Ever. Breathtaking sunset view, warm staff, delicious greek wine and the food... so the food. The food was that good that there is no word to describe it. Fresh, seasonal, perfectly seasoned. I don't even like fish, but the sea bass from here was extremely delicious, I dont know how they made it. Probably all happened there, freshly as you really need to have time to max out this place. 1 hour is a min till they bring you the good stuff. But! Even simple salad was the best salad in my life...you have to check it! 10/10 especially if you are fed up with the random flyers claiming...
