We came because the place looks modern and neat and homey. As well we had a tip from our acommodation that they have an excellent breakfast. Boy, were we in for a treat! The breakfast option that we had very often is 10€ and comprises of scrambled eggs, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, avocado, greek pita bread, cheese and prosciutto. Not only that, but a glass of orange juice and a side or yoghurt with honey and nuts. Did I mention the products are local and eggs organic? It’s ah-mazing!!! They also have several other options of pancakes, panini, tortillas, even smoothies. The kumkuat-grapefruit fresh is also to die for, trust me. Not only that, but we were welcomed daily by the boys working the morning shift, Sam was always our waiter and he is just the sweetest, kindest guy. We enjoyed chit-chatting with him and having a laugh. That is to say, all of the people here are smiling, welcoming, cracking a little joke or just pleasantly bantering. Coffee is just what you would expect, expertly prepared and with a great taste. Oh, did I mention they also serve ice cream locally made? The lemon ginger is a blast and the mango sorbet is sublime! Now, don’t even get me started on what happens in the evening! Well…be still my heart! They have an evening menu of cocktails (different from the all-day options, which are the classics) which will blow your shoes off. I highly recommend their Tikki selection and for you gin lovers out there, Rose Garden is a dream in a glass. Have it with a burger (classic/chicken/mushroom as a veggie option) or with a pizza (even the Margherita is all you could want) and just sit back and enjoy the perfect view of the seaside (either from the comfort of the downstairs couches or from the terrace above). If you have no patience to read everything, let me summarize : San George has amazing people, good food, great cocktails, perfect view and atmosphere. What more...
Read moreDon't be fooled. Polite and friendly at first but owner very rude with bad customer service.
Ordered two pizzas from here but the second pizza took over 45 minutes.
Before the second pizza came out we politely asked if we could no longer have the pizza and have our money back as we didn't want to waste any more time waiting for something we were told before would only take 15 minutes.
The owner at first refused, had a very awkward prolonged argument with our waiter then reluctantly gave us our money back for the second pizza. As we started to leave he said 'it is your fault, you come to a restaurant you expect to wait' and that it was 'our fault'.
If you have an hour to waste to wait for a thick stodgy frozen oven pizza then this is the...
Read moreAfter eating Greek food for several days (which is delicious, don't get me wrong) we decided to go for a change and try something else. Seeing this establishment serves burgers for a reasonable price we gave it a try. Absolutely fantastic, the offer is small but crafted to perfection, we had a Chicken burger and Red burger (spicy) and both were delicious, very well balanced flavours, good ingredients and very well medium cooked beef meat. Burger comes with a dip and fries, which are made from actual potatoes, not frozen fries. And the biggest surprise is, the fries themselves are seasoned with pepper, smoked paprika for extra taste! Very pleasant surprise for a small snackbar on the beach! Recommend it...
