We came here three times during our holiday to Roda in late July 2024. The first two visits were fantastic - food and service were great (despite the stray dogs on the beach, but understandably, that is outside of the restaurant’s control). We visited for the third and final time on our last night in Roda, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. We ordered our starters soon after receiving drinks, and despite these not taking too long to come out, my garlic bread was so dry, it was virtually inedible. Our main courses then took over an hour to arrive. After around 45 minutes, our 3 year old daughter was getting visibly distressed as she was starving hungry at this point. We then asked the waitress serving us whether it would be possible for her to bring out at least our daughter’s meal as soon as possible. This took a further 15 minutes - just unacceptable. At this point, our daughter had had a poo accident in her knickers, so needed to be changed. Our main meals then finally turned up 15 minutes later. I did say to my wife that we would be leaving to find somewhere else to eat, if it had not been for the fact that our daughter’s meal had turned up. As it turned out, my pork souvlaki was dry and inedible (it was now 9.30pm - two hours or so from when we first sat down at our table). Because we were so annoyed with the way the evening had panned out, we did not order dessert or any further drinks. We paid the bill and left. No word of apology or any reduction in the bill because of all the inconvenience from the staff. Disgraceful. If we do go back to Roda again, we will not be coming back here. Sad to say it, but...
Read moreWe came here on a Tuesday night as it was their traditional Greek night. We booked a table for this and I’m glad we did because it got busy here.
The restaurant is run by two English women who were great, good chat and they were a laugh. The food here is great and the portion sizes were generous. The waiting staff were great and had great sense of humours.
The Greek night itself was even better. A man and woman turned up and really got the crowd going. They get the customers involved (us included) and it was a great experience. I’ve done plenty of Greek nights in and around Greece but the fact they got the customers involved was something new for me and made it even better. At the end with the plate smashing they give each person in the restaurant a handful of plates so everyone can smash them at the end of the performance.
The next day I was telling everyone in the hotel about this place and telling them they must check it out. If I come to Roda again this will be the first place I come back to eat at. Couldn’t fault it...
Read moreWe were a group of three and decided to est at this resteraunt, after we ordered our drinks we were given a dirty glass, after pointing it out to one of the waiters, they simply said that its dirt inside of the glass and it cannot be cleaned properly which isnt true since you could feel the dirty spots on the inside of the glass and instead of offering us a new glassthey insisted that all glasses look like that. Then after we got our starter we had to wait 1 hour and 10 minutes for our main course while other people who just came in got their food within 10-15 minutes. The owner of this Restaurant also seemed very dismissive as she noticed that we havent gotten our meal in such a long time, she didnt even bother coming to our table and apologizing for the long wait, nothing. I definitely wouldnt recommend coming here if youre quite hungry and if youre looking for...
