This place is amazing! It’s something we had seen before our trip to Roda by googling things to do. You will not be disappointed. We didn’t book in advance as we decided to check it out when passing, we saw that Wednesday night was Greek night and spoke to a member of staff who said they were fully booked, however come along if passing in case something opens up. We passed along around 9pm and the atmosphere was amazing! The owners son did his upmost best to seat us and even bought out a table and chairs to the street outside the restaurant and made up tables for all the people who were eager to eat here so we didn’t miss out. It is all open planned so didn’t even feel like we had spilled out onto the street. We enjoyed excellent food, excellent service and got to watch a brilliant dance or two from staff. As we went to pay, the waiters and waitresses told us we couldn’t leave yet as the night was just getting started. They safely stored our bags with family behind the bar and grabbed our hands and off we went to dance. The men in the restaurant went first, followed by the ladies. We all had a blast, the staff, other diners etc are all so friendly. You shouldn’t miss this one out if you’re...
Read moreWithout a doubt, this restaurant served us the best food we ever had in the whole Corfu island, no exageration. We initially found this gem the first night we arrived in Roda, and absolutely loved everything: the friendly staff that made us feel like we were eating amongst friends; the food that was, oh my god, absolutely delicious. All portions were prepared with very fresh and high-quality ingredients. We were so sad when we finished absolutely everything from our plates. -the prices that were super reasonable for the quality and the size of the portions. We loved the Mousaka and the lamb. For dessert the cheesecake with homemade strawberry jam and the orange pie were top notch. The fact that I chose to return here the same day I proposed to my girlfriend should be a clear explanation about the special place it holds in our hearts. :) If you are anywhere near Roda (Kassiopi/Acharavi/ Sfakera/Sidari etc) please make yourself a favour and try this restaurant. Thank me later. PS: we thank the staff for the nice gift we received when they found out about our engagement. With love: Teodor and Lavinia...
Read moreRoda Park was recommended to us by a couple in our hotel. Sometimes these recommendations prove to be disappointing. With Roda Park this was not the case. Set to one side of a little lane between the beachfront and the main street in Roda. The RP has no other bars or restaurants opposite, so the musical ambience created is not distorted by other music leaching in from other venues. The experience was leisurely. How many restaurants enable their staff to pull up a chair and take the time to discuss in depth the intended meal. There was an extensive drinks list with a good selection of local brews as well as more well known brews. Drinks were served. I don't mind waiting for my meal as it usually means the meal is cooked fresh. I ordered Lamb Kleftico, my wife had sea bass. Both meals were exceptionally tasty. The price was marginally more than other eating places, but I feel, following the outstanding service and standard of meal, the cost was totally justified. Thank you RP for a taste of real Greek cuisine...
