The Wave restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Northern Corfu

We came here for dinner and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.

We started with a traditional Greek salad and grilled vegetables (peppers, eggplant, zucchini, and wild mushrooms with balsamic sauce and cheese). That dish was excellent. For the mains, we ordered pasta with slow-cooked beef (tasty but quite standard) and fried calamari with fries, which was fresh and delicious.

The problem began when I asked for ketchup for the fries. As soon as I opened the bottle, it exploded in my hands because the ketchup was spoiled and had fermented. It splashed all over me and my partner—our faces, hands, and clothes. At first the waiter thought it was my fault, but only later admitted the ketchup was bad. He offered to replace the dish, but since we were in a hurry, we kept it.

What really disappointed us was the handling of the situation. On the bill, not only did they not remove the charge for the dish, but they even added €3 for something we hadn’t ordered. The owners did apologize, but nothing more.

A magical place with delicious food and a view of the waves!

The Wave in Sidari is a true gem – a place that combines fantastic food, wonderful service, and a breathtaking seaside view.

We ate there several times during our stay in Sidari, and every time we were absolutely delighted. The dishes were fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor – we especially recommend the salads and traditional Greek dishes! Portions were generous and the prices very reasonable.

The staff was friendly, smiling, and very helpful, and the whole atmosphere was incredibly relaxing. A big bonus is the location right on the seafront – a perfect spot for a romantic dinner at sunset.
