Madlin Bakery — Restaurant in Municipality of Patras

This is a great ‘bakery’ in downtown Patras. I use quotes on the bakery because it’s not a bakery in the traditional sense most people would imagine. They do bake their own breads and other baked goods, but they don’t have whole loaves of bread to buy and walk out with.

The concept of this place is more sit and enjoy the atmosphere with nice food and a drink. Be it a coffee, smoothie, or juice earlier in the day, or alcohol later in the evening.

They have a full breakfast menu as well as a pretty decent brunch/lunch menu. There’s not a huge variety, but what is available is excellent. Not everything is sweet either, which is nice. There are a solid amount of savory things to choose from.

The ambiance is really nice, no matter what time of day you’re there, and whether you sit inside or outside. It really is pretty and worth seeing.

My only note for those that might care is that there aren’t really a lot of options for those with nut allergies. They have nuts in most things on the menu, but they will look out for your allergies if you ask them to. Just be careful.

All in all a great place that you should definitely check out if you’re in Patras....

Έχει περάσει αρκετός καιρός από τότε που επισκεφθήκαμε τελευταία φορά το συγκεκριμένο μαγαζί, ωστόσο θα παραθέσω την εμπειρία μας. Είναι ένα πολύ όμορφο μαγαζί, με καλά προϊόντα. Ένας ωραίος και φιλόξενος χώρος σε έναν από τους πιο κεντρικούς πεζοδρόμους της Πάτρας, στην καρδιά της πόλης. Κατάλληλο για να απολαύσει κανείς τον καφέ του και ένα πρόγευμα. Όλα αυτά όμως τα θετικά στοιχεία, δυστυχώς δεν είναι αρκετά για να αντισταθμίσουν το κακό και αγενές σέρβις. Όταν ζητήσαμε να πληρώσουμε, μας έφεραν λάθος απόδειξη και επέμεναν ότι είναι η σωστή, ωστόσο αυτό μπορεί να παραβλεφθεί ως ένα κοινό λάθος εξυπηρέτησης. Δεν μένω εκεί. Ενώ είχαμε πάρει έναν συνδυασμό προϊόντων ως πακέτο με στάνταρ τιμή από τον κατάλογο, προσπάθησαν να μας χρεώσουν το κάθε προϊόν ξεχωριστά, ώστε να πληρώσουμε τόσο το πακέτο, όσο και το κάθε προϊόν έξτρα. Κατόπιν έντονης δυσαρέσκειας από το προσωπικό και κανένα σημάδι πρόθεσης να δείξουν ότι λυπούνται για την αναστάτωση, καταφέραμε να πληρώσουμε το ποσό που μας αναλογούσε. Ένα εξωφρενικό σκηνικό, όχι ιδιαίτερα ευχάριστο ώστε να το παραβλέψω και να προτιμήσω ξανά το συγκεκριμένο μαγαζί, την στιγμή που υπάρχουν τόσα άλλα παρόμοια καταστήματα στην ίδια τοποθεσία, και με πολύ...

A very nice and cozy Cafe in the city center. The menu offers a lot of options in every category, including breakfast dishes, and a lot of sweets. There is also a large variety of special tea flavors. The personnel was kind and ready to assist with any questions about the menu. The prices are normal and affordable.
