Mpyrama — Restaurant in Municipality of Piraeus

I want to start with that I’ve only heard good things about Mpyrama, and therefore we chose to go there (of friends good words). We ordered wine and beer. After we were done drinking our first round, in the only half full bar, we couldn’t get ahold of the bartenders. We tried to order twice (actually said our orders) and when it, after 1.5hrs didn’t appear, we chose to leave. We had tried to either order more or to get the bill to pay, but ALL 3 servers complete ignored us, despite our table being in the middle of the way from the entryway to the bar. We slowly made our way out of there and even passed one of the servers and said our goodbyes - only to again be ignored. We were away for a couple of hours, went to another close by bar who served us and was only nice, and then walked past the area, where one of the servers of Mpyrama threatened us to a fight. We paid that we owed, no fight even needed, but the guy still threatened us, in front of other people. Check the cameras, we TRIED to make contact with ANY of the 3 workers and TRIED to pay, but no one paid attention to us and we got bored of the EXTREMELY bad service we were given and therefore left the bar. We paid 10€ to the guy threatening us, all though we only «owed» 7€. I’m surprised if those 10€ actually ends up in the bar. Stay away. The worst service I’ve ever experienced, both as greek and a foreigner.

Edit after owners’ comment: Why would I write a review if I was to out myself as a thief? We tried to make contact but struggled to even make the servers look our way. It was one of the female servers we asked for more service when the big man didn’t even look our way when we tried to wave, say hi, hey, signomi, excuse me, etc. And you can’t tell someone that they’re thieves when they paid up and had no problem paying and have had no other problem paying in the...

This place is AMAZING. I like the fact that there are a lot of international people coming here so if you get a table out you will for sure meet someone new especially when you go there with like-minded people. You can even get a table inside and it's gonna be the same but let's be out 'n about don't ya think ? 😉 I met SO MANY people and I honestly cannot wait to go back there since now I live in the center. It's a "hidden gem" one of those place where locals and foreigners mix and shine! The diversity of the crowd makes it the best place to hang out in Pireus! Their drinks are top notch as well but when I go there I usually go with classics since they are very well priced.

Μέσα στο διάστημα τριών μηνών βρέθηκα τέσσερις φορές στο μαγαζί, από τις πέντε συνολικά. Όλες τις φορές πήγαμε από τις 7, ώρα εκκίνησης και, φυσικά, σχεδόν χωρίς άλλους πελάτες. Η βιασύνη να πληρώσουμε τόσο γρήγορα αμέσως μετά το σερβίρισμα έχει οδηγήσει σε λάθος χειρισμούς του POS, με αποτέλεσμα να μην συνδέεται στο δίκτυο και να αγχώνει τους πελάτες που πληρώνουν με κάρτα χωρίς λόγο. Αλλά αυτό είναι επουσιώδες. Όσο ωραία ατμόσφαιρα κι αν έχει, όσο και να μου αρέσει το γεγονός ότι η αγαπημένη μου Τσεχική μπύρα βρίσκεται στον κατάλογο, η χθεσινή βραδιά ήταν καταλυτική για να αποφύγω το συγκεκριμένο μέρος. Και ξεκινάω με την πολιτική του μαγαζιού: χθες, εμείς, μια παρέα 8 ατόμων, ήμαστε έρμαιο ενός σερβιτόρου, επειδή μια παρέα με περισσότερα άτομα που «θα έτρωγε και θα έκανε μεγαλύτερη παραγγελία, έπρεπε να καθίσει στο μεγάλο booth». Καταρχάς, είναι απαράδεκτη η μετακίνηση και η εκδίωξη από τα booth, είτε επειδή «δεν είναι μεγάλη η παρέα», είτε ΑΝΑΜΕΝΕΙ άφιξη ατόμων. Συν τοις άλλοις, η επιμονή και ιδιαίτερα η επαναλαμβανόμενη προτροπή να «αφήσουμε στο βεστιάριο» τα πράγματα ΑΛΛΩΝ, άτομα που ήταν έξω για να καπνίσουν και θα ήταν αδιανόητο να λάβουμε απόφαση εκ μέρους τους, η οποία αφορά προσωπικά αντικείμενα, ήταν ακόμη ένα αρνητικό στοιχείο. Εν τέλει, αναγκαστήκαμε να υποστούμε τη συνέχεια του κακού σέρβις (ένα ποτήρι νερό μόνο για τους πρώτους αφιχθέντες, ούτε ίχνος μικρού συνοδευτικού με έναν ΠΥΡΓΟ ΜΠΥΡΑΣ...) και να καθίσουμε σε 2 τραπέζια, με τα πράγματά μας να είναι αφημένα σε 2 σκαμπό. Το γενικότερο υφάκι και η προσβλητική στάση που μας συνόδευσε, με αποκορύφωμα την -εμμέσως πλην σαφώς- προτροπή προς έξοδο 3 ατόμων που έμειναν στο τέλος, δεν τα αφήσαμε να μας χαλάσουν την διάθεση ούτε στο ελάχιστο. Ωστόσο, μας έδωσε μια καλή γεύση για τις επόμενες εξόδους μας, καθώς και την πληροφόρηση των κύκλων μας. Τουτέστιν, μιλάμε για ένα μαγαζί σε άριστη τοποθεσία, με ωραία μουσική, αλλά και σημεία που πάσχει (τουαλέτα χωρίς εσωτερικό χερούλι, δυσλειτουργικό καζανάκι, προσβλητικό προσωπικό, κακό σέρβις και αδιανόητη πολιτική).
