Top notch service, great location, wonderful staff, newly renovated room, complementary shuttle service to port
Upon my arrival, I was warmly and courteously greeted by George at the reception. He offered a map of the area and useful information about supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, etc in the area as well as the complementary shuttle service to the port. He brought my luggage up to my newly renovated room. The lobby, the hallway, the elevator and the room were all extremely clean. The bathroom was very spacious. The rest of the room was more than enough for one person. The brand new double bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. There was a door that opened from the room onto a fairly big balcony area with a neighbourhood view, where you could sit outside and enjoy some fresh air. The location of the hotel itself was rather convenient for access to eateries and the marina. Lovely area to walk along the waterfront. The Archaeological Museum of Piraeus, the new Piraeus metro terminal, the theatre, among other sights, are all within walking distance The next morning I opted in for the hot breakfast for EUR 9. The spread was more than sufficient to start the day and it was laid out early enough for me to enjoy my breakfast before heading out at 06:30 to catch a ferry at the port. The cook was very accommodating, making some plain potatoes on the side to cater for my dietary restrictions. The shuttle left promptly at 06:30 and the driver kindly assisted with the luggage. He stopped exactly at the ferry gate that I needed to be at so I really didn't have any walking to do. Overall an efficient, hospitable, convenient, comfortable, seamless experience for a one night stay prior to catching the ferry. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again, whether for one...
Read moreA Hotel with no heart 😢 After the few years we have all had with Covid!!. I decided to book a family holiday back to the UK and a cruise leaving from Athens. After a lot of reading reviews I decided to book this hotel through Expedia. Yes I decided to book, late at night and unfortunately did not double check my dates and accidentally booked March instead of May. Within 5 mins of my booking I realised and contacted Expedia straight away, who tried to assist in asking the hotel to change my dates. However to my surprise the hotel were happier keeping my money and not assisting with a change. I did call the hotel on several occasions and found the front desk lady to be very abrupt. It’s sad that an Australian family have decided to support this hotel, to which you think they would be ever so grateful as times have been hard for us all. But instead I have been left with no accomodation and loss of my money. Where has human kindness gone ?? I have travelled the world and have never experienced a hotel that would not even try and accomodate us. Apparently the hotel is full but there are rooms available though numerous hotel companies. So I guess I cannot comment on the hotel as I have not been there but I guess from how I have been treated, you may want to think twice about booking and maybe find another hotel that...
Read moreI am a female over 65 who travels solo, so service and security are very important. The night I arrived, my ferry was over 2 hours late and their arranged driver was no longer available at 03:00A. I sent them a message from the ferry through booking.com which they answered within 10 minutes. They said to grab any cab at the port and they would pay the driver direct. I did, and when we pulled up to the hotel, the night manager was standing on the front steps to greet and pay the driver.
The small hotel is recently renovated with an incredible amount of detail. There are TWO triple glazed sliding doors to the small balcony eliminating street noise.
The room was perfect with high quality linens, great pillows, a hot pot and a little nespresso maker. Bathroom fixtures all new. Amazing blackout drapes.
Breakfast was 9€ for an excellent spread including eggs, bacon, potato’s, mushrooms, toast and fruit. Also a cappucino machine!
The pretty harbor for rich people’s sailboats is a 3 minute walk with many excellent restaurants.
*For solo travelers plan ahead and get a solo room - I stayed for 60€/night.
It’s only a 3 minute walk also to the X96 bus stop - an express ride to the airport for 6€!!! But they still gave me a ride since I had...
