I have travelled all continents and ate in all kind of restaurants; this place is by far the uncontested worse food establishment in any corner of the planet. I wanted small fried fish but the waitress kept insisting on selling me larger ones because they did not have any small fresh fish. Then, I opted for the grilled shrimp, fried zucchini chips for an appetizer and fried cod. There was only one other table in the place. After waiting nearly 15 minutes, a waiter brings me the bill and places it on the table before showing any food!!!! The first thing to be placed on the table was the shrimps. A really tasteless dish with no sauce and not even a slice of lemon to accompany it. After finishing the shrimp, they brought the fried code. It was served with cold beets and some sort of watery pureed potatoes. Still no sauce or a wedge of lemon to accompany the dish. So far, I ate the main dish and the shrimp but the zucchini appetizer never showed-up. When I finished my terrible fish dish, I checked the bill. Sure enough, they had included the chips and charged also for the “invisible” bread I never got. Thank God for the language translation App I used to review the bill since it was all in Greek. Foreigners who do not understand the language can very easily be taken for a ride by being charged extra money for items they...
Read moreStaff was very friendly and by far this is the best thing about this place. When we arrived at noon, the place was almost empty. However, we waited at least 30 minutes for a tzatziki( it took more than 1 hour to get everything we ordered - 1 salad, 3 starters, 2 fish plates). Everything we ordered was served in turns, and it was somehow frustrating. We were expecting to have at least the cold appetizers/starters be brought at the same time(and I repeat, there were only 3 tables. I am wondering how long it takes to get your food at a peak time). Also, be careful if you order the Thalassaki Salad. It has nothing to do with the description. To give you an idea you have part of the ingredients : dried tomatoes are missing, one cherry tomato, and the balsamic vinegar is actually a sweet and sour red sauce.(it was not only our case, another table ordered the same salad and it looked the same). I am sorry to give such a bad review. The taste of the food was ok, not spectacular, portions are generous and the staff is wonderful. Maybe it was our bad luck or it is a...
Read moreIt’s a nice atmosphere with what seems like a lot of effort put into the decor, but that’s about it. Service is fine, just not that friendly or attentive. We sent the bread back because we didn’t want the extra carbs and didn’t want to waste it, but after that it seemed like the waiter was upset with us. Most of the seafood on the menu is frozen, and the stuffed sardines had so many bones it was unbearable; not to mention that all 3 of the dishes were flavorless. Waitstaff bring a bottle of water to the table immediately upon seating you and then charge you 5x what it costs in a supermarket. If you haven’t been to the good fish taverns on other islands (where water is complimentary and they ask you if you want bread for the table), you might not be as critical but IMO it’s not worth the price when there are better...
