Double Cafe Bar - Platanias — Restaurant in Municipality of Platanias

Had a late evening trip for some ice cream here. The service was not great. Compared to everywhere else in Platanias it was probably the worst service I’d had. Myself and my partner had two scoops of ice cream each and a drink each which came to a total of €23. Not great but not terrible. The issue started when my partners ice cream had a hair in it. A very visible hair directly on the top. We aren’t complainers, and even in a situation like this we don’t like to make a fuss. Believe me, I’ve had cold food before at restaurants where I haven’t complained. However, as the service wasn’t great to start with my partner went and spoke to one of the staff and mentioned there was a hair in her ice cream. The staff member was happy to rectify it and apologised and took the ice cream away. This is when I watched one of the other staff members scrape a small bit of ice cream off the top (I’d assume where the hair was) and replace it with another slither of ice cream. They brought it back and when challenged they were adamant that they had made a fresh ice cream. Again, normally I don’t complain, and I don’t like to make a fuss, but I’m also not the biggest fan of being blatantly lied to. A bit of back and fourth later and me and my partner realised we were losing this battle and just eventually said don’t worry about it. 2 minutes goes by and the staff members comes back past and takes my partners ice cream and says “I’ll sort it”. They then made her a fresh one. Whilst sat eating our ice creams the entirety of the staff inside of the shop were constantly staring at us which doesn’t create the greatest of atmospheres. zero stars desrved. Aggressive and unprofessional staff. We visited this place today with my family for coffee and ice cream. We had four kids excited to order ice cream, while the rest of us adults waited in the hallway so we could all sit together. An older waiter aggressively told us to leave. We explained the kids were ordering, but he didn’t like us waiting there because our shoes were making the floor wet from the rain.
