Katsarola in Methoni isn’t just a meal—it’s an experience. From the first bite to the last, everything was fresh, delicious, and crafted with care.
We kicked things off with a Greek salad full of crisp, fresh veggies, a grilled talagani with tomato chutney that was such a pleasant surprise, and chicken croquettes that were crispy, juicy, and honestly a must-try.
For the mains, the Tomahawk steak was cooked perfectly – juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The chicken with sweet potato purée was such a comforting combo, light but super tasty. And the truffle orzo? That one totally stole the show – rich, aromatic, and so well-balanced.
The food was amazing, but what really made it special was the warm hospitality and friendly service. You feel like you’re not just eating out, but being taken care of.
We discovered Katsarola on our very last day of vacation, but it’s safe to say we’ll be coming back for another visit. If you’re ever in Methoni, this place is a no-brainer – you’ll leave full, happy, and already planning...
Read moreOn our last evening in Methoni, we decided to try Katsaróla, a place warmly recommended by locals and by the lovely person managing our hotel. He told us it was the best restaurant in town – and we’re happy to agree.

As always in Greece, the kindness and hospitality were outstanding, and the food made our final dinner feel truly special. Prices were absolutely fair, in line with the average, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming.
There’s still a lot left to explore in the area, so we hope to be back – and when we are, we’ll definitely return here. Thank...
Read moreWe didn't take any pictures cause everything looked so good that we just started eating! It's a traditional little tavern but with amazing food and great service! We were a family of 4( 2 adults and 2 kids ages 5 and 10). We ordered green salad with spinach leaves and cheese which was amazing. We ordered the smoked eggplant which also one of the best I ever had! We ordered the risotto with mushrooms (omg! So good) , the kids had canellonia which were very yummy and home made, but the plate that topped it all was the baked chicken with homemade BBQ sauce and airfried potatoes! This plate I will certainly miss, we were all licking our fingers! We had beer and 2 cokes. We paid 65 euro, which I thought was great pricing. Great value for money! PS. The waitress was very...
