While staying in Methoni, we had dinner at Aléktōr, a traditional Greek taverna with a warm and authentic atmosphere. The place is charming, with its vivid blue details and cozy outdoor seating area that captures the essence of the Mediterranean.

The food was excellent — simple, well-prepared dishes made with fresh local ingredients. Portions were generous, and the grilled meat and local vegetables were particularly tasty. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions on what to try. Prices are very reasonable, around €15–20 per person.

The location is perfect, just a short walk from the Venetian castle, making it an ideal spot for dinner after a day of sightseeing.

The restaurant is in the center of Methoni but not where all the tourist restaurants are (that is why not a lot of typical tourists come here).

You can get a lot of traditional Greek food here but they have food for everyone and you will always find something (even if you come 5 times a week ;-))

We have been coming here for several years now and the food and service are always on top. I can recommend every single food on the menu (ask for recommendations)!!
