Disappointing. Six of us ate here during our holiday and we were not particularly impressed. A couple of us ordered pints of Mythos to slake our thirst and the beer tasted a little odd. It was draught beer and we don't think they were looking after their equipment properly. We would have chosen something different to drink afterwards, but were unable to get the attention of any staff so went without! The food was a mixed bag. A couple of the people on our table ordered a spaghetti carbonara which was, apparently, quite tasty. I ordered Moussaka. What arrived was a slab of Mousakka in the middle of a vast expanse of empty plate. No salad, vegetables or other accoutrements. When I tasted it, it was exceptionally average. None of the usual flavours you'd expect from a Moussaka were present - no warming cinnamon, no distinctive taste of lamb mince. I suspect it was either a homemade beef Moussaka which they'd frozen and then microwaved, or they'd just bought them in pre-made from a supplier. Either way, it was very poor. The worst meal I had on the entire holiday. We didn't have a dessert because, for some unknown reason, the staff were mostly congregated at the back of the restaurant, having a chat and tidying things up. We were not approached once to ask how our meal was, or whether we wanted fresh drinks. Left to our own devices, we sat there with our dirty plates in front of us for twenty minutes then had to call across the restaurant because we just wanted to pay the bill then leave. Very disappointing. Drinks - average. Food - poor. Service - abysmal. Save your money and go...
Read moreWe came here in two different occasions, once for dinner and earlier for lunch, when we came for dinner the service was quite nice same with the food, when we went now there was this man that wasn’t there the other night that when we were trying to order wasn’t even that bothered to listen because he had to look away and try to get more people in, and straight up admitted the shrimps I ordered were not fresh which was in fact true they were a bit tough, not the worst thing I’ve eaten obviously not the best, asked them to be fried they were grilled, I’m not the type to make a big fuss so I just accepted my fate and finished then left, the garlic bread is interesting, definitely wouldn’t say good tho, they could do with a fan or something during the lunch hours It’s a shame because the food when we went for dinner was actually very good, shrimps nice and tender also the mussels were good, for my personal liking I would’ve passed on the bell peppers and onions in the mussels but I wouldn’t say they were bad, the man may well be the owner and should learn to concentrate on the customers he has rather than trying to get more people in and ignoring the customers sat in...
Read moreThis is a restaurant you must avoid in every way. The man who works there, who introduced himself as an Albanian, is a classic fraudster. He charged five euros for Coca Cola, which is three euros on the menu. The girlfriend and I ordered lunch, and with a few sentences exchanged, he asked if you would like a mini meze, bruschetta with scampi, while you wait for lunch. We accepted, but in the end it would be very expensive, almost like a set ordered lunch. I do not rule out that it was on a national basis, since he asked where we were from, and then some minor provocations followed, which we brushed off at that moment, because they seemed benign.
For the most part, this restaurant is constantly empty. Now it is clear why. We made a big mistake,...
