Levantes Restaurant, Cafe Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Rethymnon

This is the best place i went to during my days in Greece. The food was sooo good, the spaghetti was incredible. And let me tell you about the staff, there was this sweet girl who waited out table. It was my birthday on this day, and my father told her this just as a random fact. At the end of the night, when my family was having dessert, i didnt get any since i was so full. Out of no where, this SWEET ANGEL OF A WOMAN brings out ice cream with a candle and they sang me happy birthday. Im telling you, I cried. Since i was on vacation, I didnt have a cake for my birthday and i was actually kind of down about it, but this completely made my evening. I never leave reviews, but my experience here was so so special and incredible, the world needed to know lol CHECK IT OUT IF YOURE...

This place is as good as it gets, and probably the best choice in this area. The atmosphere is pleasant, the service great, they really treat you with respect. Dimitri, the owner of is an incredibly kind person, always trying to make sure everyone is feeling comfortable. We tried a few places but this one was definately the one where we felt at home, and where our rather picky special choices were not a problem. In contrary, it felt like our plates were taylormade to our tastes. The plates were delicious and large, and a desert enough for 2! Very childfriendly place.. we are already missing it and Dimitri. Very nice stuff! Ambience: a mix of greek-tavern & noble-restaurant decorated with big pictures of Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, the Beatles & the Rolling Stones, and a potpurri of English music. Meal: The mixed plate with greek specialties is really very tasty! The mixed Souvlaki (chicken and pork) was also very, very good. I had the lamp with rice, which was a bit too salty for me, but the meat was quite tender and juicy...we ordered a Raki, too...a good but very strong shot...and the waitress gave us another one for free & a plate with fresh fruits.... Even if the ambience isn't fitting, the service & meals are...
