We visited this restaurant in October 2021. It is located a few steps away from the village of Charaki, with a really beautiful view over the bay. This view is also impressive at night, when the ruins of the castle are illuminated. The location certainly justifies a visit. The service is also attentive and unobtrusive. Let's get to the main reason for a visit to the restaurant, which is the food. The supply of fresh fish is relatively limited (sea bream and sea bass). Nevertheless, these are popular food fish. The preparation, along with the side dishes, is relatively unspectacular. What is very surprising, however, is the fact that everything is really served on cold plates. So you enjoy cold fish, with cold mashed potatoes on cold peppers, framed by cold zucchini. It is a pity that a restaurant has so little claim to itself. This unfortunately diminishes the enjoyment of the visit. The recommended white wine, however, was quite good for the called 25, - € / bottle. In summary, it can be said that the location is the outstanding argument for the visit, as well as the unobtrusive service, but less the food. I give here a flattering 4 stars, although the meal alone does not quite deserve...
Read moreWe ate there several times already, and many more we will do before our holidays will end. We just love it. Great food, super fresh fish, good advices from the team. Charming atmosphere. What a lovely surprise. Did not know the place at all as it is our fist time in Rodhes, but can really say we found a professional approach, really good food, where fish is the star. Traditional food is also great and all of us, including 2 kids, simply love it. Restaurant couldn't be any nicer. At the end of the harbour, stretches out on the rocks with the sea kissing it. Magic. Wish I owned it. Super recommended. Staff is super friendly from the manager to our top man Panis and his wife who will take a very good care of you, introducing you to what's on offer and clearly explaining to you what you are going to eat. Service is efficient and prices are ok (approx 25/35 pp including wine, if don't go on lobsters/champagne). Being Italian and fussy about wine I would improve the wine list with some more non local labels. Bravissimi. Keep it...
Read moreWe first visited this restaurant a few years ago. This year we came back for the second time, and unfortunately, we were quite disappointed in several ways. The interior and exterior of the restaurant are truly stunning, with nothing to criticize there. Sadly, both my wife and I were let down by the food, which was barely above average.
What really bothers us, though, is when the staff treats guests like clueless tourists. We ordered sparkling water but were automatically given San Pellegrino, which was twice as expensive. A similar issue appeared with the iced coffee: it was listed at €3 on the menu, but our bill showed €4.50. I didn’t ask, but I assume it was because we asked for milk. Unfortunately, even then, the coffee was no more than average.
It’s these little things that stop me from recommending this restaurant. Despite its breathtaking location, I personally won’t be...
